First time staying at this hotel and it was fantastic best service i have ever received the man went above and beyond for us. He couldn't do anything more for us. I will be back more often and I recommend this hotel 100 percent. I stayed on the 2nd January and the night staff were amazing he done anything and everything he could for us. Couldn't ask for a better service. Xx

Comfortable and friendly hotel. Room was well furnished but had one problem. We had booked a room with a walk in shower which meant that we had a washbasin that was very small and not much above knee height. Difficult for guests with back problems to use easily in consequence. Meals were good and efficiently served. Plenty of car parking space handily adjacent to accommodation

Lovely stay at The Western House, the old building is looking fantastic and the grounds are immaculate. The room I had was in the main building and was lovely, warm and well equipped with everything you'd expect from a 4 star hotel. Only small grumble is no plug to put phone charger next to bed. The staff are brilliant, a warm welcome and nothing was too much bother for them. I look forward to another visit soon.

Have previously stayed at this hotel numerous times over the past 15 years and am sad to say we won’t be staying again. Hotel services have gone right downhill - the breakfast was previously amazing now self service buffet where availability is either poor or non existent! Don’t get hungry at 8.02 in the evening as the kitchen closedown is 8.00pm ? Room service- sorry that’s a no too?? I won’t even begin to go into having to change rooms after a farcical debate with the sarcastic receptionist. This hotel is “on the slide” and don’t let us forget it’s the most expensive in the area

A fantastic stay. I genuinely cant fault a thing. We were married here in 2008 and I mentioned it was an anniversary gift and Andrea was able to give us a complimentary upgrade to the honeymoon suite. The room was as stunning as I remembered all these years later. The staff were so friendly and efficient and the dinner and breakfast were both to die for. It reminded us why we chose this venue and is making us kick ourselves for not coming back sooner. We will definitely be making this an annual event going forward.
