Our Pre-School is based at Walthamstow Cricket, Tennis and Squash Club on Greenway Avenue. Situated just 5 minutes walk from Wood Street station, we have a spacious hall that is light and bright to play in, overlooking the huge green space of the cricket ground. There is an enclosed patio to allow free flow indoor/outdoor play.
The grounds give us extensive scope for our 'Forest School' sessions and we utilise the tennis courts for mini sports sessions. In addition there is a side room to allow for small group work in a quieter area. We welcome children between the ages of 2 - 5 for our sessions that run Monday-Friday term time only from 09:00am to 3.00 pm.

Services
We are an established pre-school having formed in 1990 as The Village Playgroup. We aim to provide the highest quality education and childcare for all our children, making a warm and caring nursery environment within which all children can learn and develop as they play. Our day to day activity reflects and embraces the diversity of the local community.
The pre-school is Ofsted registered, with a 'GOOD' rating and has achieved CMS accreditation. Our policy is to recruit qualified staff who are friendly, committed and enthusiastic in their work with the children. All children are allocated a key worker: a member of staff with individual responsibilities for a group of children.
Our Fees are payable a month in advance and are still incurred during absences in order to retain the child place, we accept all forms of childcare voucher, and other payments to be made via bank transfer. Invoices are sent out to parents on the 25th of each month with a unique invoice number for each child to be paid by the 1st of the following month.
Free Early Education Entitlement funding for 15 hours of free childcare is available for all children the term after their third birthday. We also offer 30 hours of free childcare to those 3 year old that qualify and provide 2 year old funded places for those children that are eligible. Healthy snacks are provided through out the day.
My husband and I have been impressed with the nursery. Our son Bilal started back in September and we've seen the positive affect it has had on him. In the middle of a pandemic the way the nursery have handled the situation to ensure it stays open and safe to the children has been amazing. The growth and development we have seen in Bilal whilst he's not yet 3 has been a pleasure.
