Precious Tots is a family run business. The family business has been operating for over 25 years. However Precious Tots was established in 2011 when the successive family generation took over the business. Precious Tots is committed to providing high quality care and education for children aged 4 months to 5 years.
Here at Precious Tots, we aim to provide a comfortable learning environment to ensure a good start to your child's future. We understand the ways in which the child engages with other people and their environment - playing and exploring, active learning, and creating and thinking critically - underpin learning and development across all areas and support the child to remain an effective and motivated learner.
All 3 and 4 year olds and some 2 year olds (if they meet a certain criteria) are entitled to 570 hours of free early education and childcare a year. This is usually offered as 15 hours per week for up to 38 weeks a year and is known as the universal entitlement. This is also known as the Free Early Education Entitlement (FEEE), which is is a government grant.
Children are constantly growing and learning. Good nutrition is vital to a child's health In order to grow properly. Food provides our bodies with the energy, protein, essential fats, vitamins and minerals to live, as well as for learning and for developing cognitive function. Its important children eat a well-balanced diet which incorporates all of the food groups represented in the food guide pyramid.
We feel very lucky to have found such a wonderful nursery for our daughter. The atmosphere is always warm and fun, often it is hard to get our daughter to leave at pick-up time! She spends plenty of time outside and there is clearly lots of thought and effort that goes into the varied and project-based play and learning activities.
