Set at the heart of Longton village The Rams Head features a separate bar with pool tables showing BT and Sky Sports on multiple screens including a giant screen for the best sport for miles. The restaurant is separate from the bar providing the perfect place to meet and enjoy a meal with family and friends.
We regularly cater for small and large functions for events such as leaving parties, funerals, christenings, birthdays, baby showers, weddings and conferences. This may include merely booking a table at any of our 3 sites, having an entire room (with catering) at the Rams Head, or booking our exquisite stand-alone function suite at the Dolphin Inn.
Formerly The Railway Hotel, The Midge Hall is a family friendly pub/restaurant at the heart of Midge Hall village on the outskirts of Leyland. Alongside the usual menus, the all you can eat Ram's Head Carvery is served every Sunday -with the finest meats from local farmers and an array of fresh vegetables and potatoes.

We go to The Dolphin Inn on a regular basis and not once have we had a bad meal! The food is absolutely delicious,well presented, and plenty of it . The staff are lovely,very friendly and make you feel welcome. The peaceful setting outside is beautiful. Can't fault it. My family and I highly recommend you visit and see for yourself, you won't be disappointed! 😁👍xx

Would like to highly recommend the Dolphin Inn (Flying Fish). Zena & her team gave us the best wedding we could ask for. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was great. We was well looked after. Everybody at the wedding thoroughly enjoyed themselves. I can’t recommend enough this pub enough for a function.

Myself and my mother visited today, a pre booked table, for a special lunch. We arrived and were seated and offered drinks straight away, which was great. However it all went downhill from here. We waited 45 minutes and no service was offered- we saw multiple tables having their orders taken, even a table of 6 who arrived at least 15 minutes after us. We sat patiently with our menus in front of us and not even an ‘are you ok’ or ‘are you ready to order’ was offered. I appreciate that is is half term and they had approximately 15 tables seated, but 45 minutes with no interaction
