Situated above the beach in the picturesque fishing village of Beer, our family has welcomed guests to Bay View and Beer for over 60 years. Nestled at the heart of East Devon, Beer has access to picturesque villages, countless walking routes, fossilising, shopping and so much more.

Once home to smugglers and the Queen's Lace Makers, it is now a traditional fishing village that is part of the World Heritage Site "Jurassic Coast" and East Devon's Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The heart of the village is the beach, a natural sun trap protected by magnificent white chalk cliffs and home to a small fleet of fishing boats.

Charming hotel right by the beach, quite possibly the best vegan breakfast I have had ... thank you so much for lift to quarry caves too!
Be aware very difficult to have meal out here as only 2 places and always booked in advance ... fish and chip shop is doing a roaring trade at the moment, great chips and great beach to eat them on!

Stayed for three nights wish it could have been longer. The staff were friendly helpful. The room was clean and comfortable, loved sitting at the window and watching the world go by on the beach. The breakfasts were superb only problem was deciding what to have. Would certainly stay again.

Friendly and cozy atmosphere and beautiful view across the beach. The tea was a little average as was the scone but the jam and cream were lovely. Reasonable prices and sensible Covid guidance.
Loos are not available inside - you need to use the public ones up the path.

My in-laws were staying here but we met them in their room. Fantastic view, very clean and tidy, decorated in a very contemporary fashion with lovely local scenes hung on the walls. The breakfasts look fantastic and we had a very nice lunch in the tea rooms.

Yet again a lovely relaxing stay in this beautiful Guest House. The staff are always friendly and welcoming. Tea and scones offered on arrival and bought to our room. The rooms are delightful and fitted out to an extremely high standard. Breakfast is lovely and staff are always willing to adapt the menu if requested. Having stayed in many B&B's this has always been our favorite and will hopefully be returning very soon.
