At Little Munchkins Private Day Nursery we offer professional and dedicated care for children from birth to 11 years old. We are able to offer flexible childcare both full and part time as well as pick up and drop off to and from local schools.
Our building, which contains rooms for under two, toddler, preschool as well as before and after school children is located on Silverthorne Close near Stalybridge town centre, just between Gorse Hall School and St Peter's School and a short walk from Cheetham Park.We pride ourselves on providing high quality child care so that parents and families feel confident that their children are in a caring, safe, stimulating and fun environment.

Services
In our Panda and Monkey Rooms we look after children from birth up until the age of two. Both the room itself and the activities that we offer are tailored to provide inviting, accessible and fun learning opportunities for both our younger pandas and our older monkeys. We have a cosy carpeted area for our non-mobile babies as well as a large and inviting area for our more mobile children.
The Parrot Room is our room for preschool children it incorporates a room downstairs with an additional room upstairs which together contain areas covering the different areas of learning in the Early Years Foundation Stage. Our Parrot Room helps to prepare preschool children for moving onto primary school through routines such as self registration, where the children find their own name and post it in the box to register themselves in.
At our Before and After School Club we service three local primary schools; Gorse Hall, St Peter's and St Paul's. Children wear hi-vis jackets when walking to school, we talk about road safety on our walks. So children are gaining road safety awareness and also getting some exercise.
Breakfast club provides a high quality service meeting the needs of both parents/carers whilst allowing children the opportunity to have a healthy nutritious start to the day and the chance to engage in activities, relax and have fun before the start of the school day.Breakfast Club runs from 7.30am with breakfast being served throughout the session.

At Little Munchkins we invest highly and value our team. We employ highly proactive people committed to the children in their care and encourage them to continually train and update their existing knowledge. Our staff are appointed not only on the basis of their qualifications and experience but also for their personal qualities.
Meal and snack times are treated as a social occasion, with practitioners sitting with the children. Eating correctly is educational itself. Our cook provides well balanced and nutritious meals rotated on a 3 weekly basis. We encourage parents and carers to contribute to our menus and throughout the year we will ask for your input.

Just picked my little one up for the very last time before he starts reception. My other son and daughter also came here. Me and my family highly recommend Little Munchkins. Very friendly team of staff and they are all so great with the children.

Brilliant person-centred nursery; they are very accommodating of every individual child's needs, personalities and really focus to get the best out of each child at their pace. They are really flexible and… happy to swap days and hours at short notice. They have also been FANTASTIC at dealing with my daughter's various food allergies and adapting menus to incorporate this. The staff are very well trained in all aspects of child care, and are always happy to talk through things. They are very open. Would DEFINITELY recommend this nursery to anyone.

My little boy has loved attending little munchkins, he has been going since he was 2; he is now leaving due to starting reception. At home he is always talking about nursery, his friends & staff. I would highly recommend this nursery to others, my little boy has learnt so much since attending Little Munchkins.

My son started here in September once he turned 2, the staff have been amazing with him he has his fave two Mel and Stu Stu haha! He never stops talking about nursery and what he's done and always looking forward to seeing his friends. He's a very clever boy but he has come along so well and learnt so much. Both my girls attend little munchkins my youngest has just started in reception they both loved their time and made wonderful bonds with both friends and staff they both now love the after school and holiday club absolutely wonderful setting for my girls can't thank them enough for all they have done in the 4 years my girls have been attending x
