Our school is a 70 place purpose built Nursery School, offering funded education places to children the term following their third birthday. We also offer a small number of wrap-around care places. Children attend either morning or afternoon sessions over five days and work within five key worker groups for part of each session.
We offer a fun-filled carefully planned curriculum, both indoors and out. Children use the outdoor environment year-round as we believe young children need to access larger spaces and fresh air daily. The school makes good use of our local environment, with regular visits to the village of Hadfield and woodland activities in local Bankswood Park.

We are a Derbyshire County Council maintained nursery school offering outstanding education and care for 2, 3 and 4-year-old children. We are situated in Hadfield, a beautiful location in North Derbyshire, close to the Peak District National Park. Our setting is rich in resources. We offer an inspiring and attractive indoor learning area with excellent curriculum facilities such as impressive technological resources.
The Government believes that the Early Years Pupil Premium, which is additional to main school funding, is the best way for early years' settings to improve the education they provide for disadvantaged 3 and 4 year olds. Child Tax Credit (provided that they're not also entitled to Working Tax Credit and have an annual gross income of no more than 16,190).
No business interest declarations. As a parent of 2 girls, both of whom have attended Hadfield Nursery School, I saw the opportunity to become parent governor as one not to be missed. I have many years experience working with children and families in the Early Years, and I hope to put my knowledge and skills to good use as parent governor.

Hadfield Nursery School operates a private school fund account, which is audited annually. The school fund operates in connection with fundraising, donations, snack and baking, resources and equipment, photographs and funding school activities such as trips, parties and entertainers.
