Kelly is the person our clients and their pets will want to get to know quickly, as she's the vet. The inspiration for our business, the person who's skills and passion for taking care of animals has given us the confidence to jump and become our own bosses!

Services
During our regular opening times you can come to us here at Bright Side where emergencies will be seen as a priority. After hours we provide emergency cover in partnership with MiNightVets based at Dovecote Veterinary hospital. Our phones are diverted automatically to them when we are closed so you don't need to worry about a separate number.
If your pet is ill and you would like to transfer his/her care to Bright Side Vets we can register you as a new client. If you are currently registered else where we will need to contact your current vets to transfer your pets medical history. This gives us important information including current mediations your pet may be on, when vaccinations may be due and possible adverse drug reactions for example.
Your pet is part of the family so it's not surprising that you want him (or her) to enjoy your holiday with you. If you are out enjoying the beautiful countryside or the culture or heritage that surrounds us here in Swadlincote while on holiday then don't worry if your furry friend falls ill, is injured or just needs something that you have forgotten.

A once good vets let down by poor communication and charging to much
After 6 years of having to chase for repeat medicines to be ordered and then arriving late, then being told hadnt paid a bill as maybe our card had been declined (we owed nothing as the medicine hadnt been supplied) I called it a day and went to Swad Vets and the medication bill halved. Shame as it started to so well and a lot of the staff were nice.

We had to bring our staffy Floyd in as he’s had a nasty cough for the last few days, he was slightly nervous as he’d been in the car and he hates the car, as soon as we walked in everyone that laid eyes on him came and gave him a fuss! We seen Kelly and Emma who were simply amazing with him! Lots of kisses were given between Emma and Floyd keeping him calm while Kelly checked him over. Everything was explained in detail and our boy was treated with the most respect and love! 100% happy with Bright side and would you 100% recommend!!

My rabbits had their booster vaccinations and annual health check with Kelly Freezer recently. Kelly is the only RWAF approved vet at the practice and she was very knowledgeable, professional and friendly. She did a thorough examination of the rabbits and their teeth, asked me questions about their bonding and behaviour and gave me some good advice. Highly recommended, especially for rabbit owners as there are not many rabbit savvy vets around.
