We provide a friendly, happy, stimulating environment that successfully bridges the gap between home and day school. Selsdon Park ethos is one of "caring and sharing" and based on the recognition of the "child's right to play".
We believe children flourish in an ordered environment in which they know that high standards are expected of them and at the same time are free to pursue their play, learning and development without fear of being hurt or hindered by anyone else.We create an environment in which children develop self-discipline and self-esteem in an atmosphere of mutual respect and encouragement.

Services
Selsdon park pre-school provides high quality childcare for children aged 2-5years. The pre-school premises are spacious, light and bright encouraging children to learn and grow. We have a highly qualified and dedicated team. Selsdon park pre-school is registered to care for 50 children and is based in the Selsdon community centre underneath sainsburys on Addington Road.
On a Thursday afternoon, the children receive football coaching by an outside company called Totstars. All the coaches are FA trained. They learn the basic skills of football. The football coaches promote and develop life skills through sport, with particular emphasis on communication, concentration, coordination and confidence.
At Selsdon Park Pre-School we can offer the Governments funded 15 hours the term after your child turns three. This entitles your child to 15 funded hours at Pre-School per week over 38 weeks of the year. All three and four-year olds are entitled to 15 hour universal funded hours but eligible families may be able to claim an additional 15 funded hours.
We have an embedded system to ensure that a key person is allocated to every child. This key person regularly observes the child and this information is then used to plan around the child's individual needs and interests. The key person completes assessments on every child to identify any support that may be required.
The early years foundation stage (EYFS) is a play-based curriculum for children from birth to 5 years, which allows children to learn in an environment that is secure and safe yet challenging. Within the EYFS framework practitioners provide activities and make assessment judgements based on the seven areas of learning.
