It is with great pleasure that I welcome you, on behalf of the children, staff and governors, to our school. At Clifton-upon-Teme Primary School we aim to give each and every child the very best start in their journeys: the experiences our children take part in are all driven by the desire to inspire minds; to open doors through which children may glimpse possible futures.
Situated in the heart of the beautiful Teme Valley, our small and friendly school provides a nurturing, caring ethos which aims to develop each child as an individual. We pride ourselves on providing creative learning experiences which challenge, engage and enthuse pupils. As a small village school, all staff have a personal knowledge of every child, and there is a real family atmosphere.

Services
Increasingly, our school caters for pupils outside the school's traditional 'catchment area', with many families choosing to travel in order to attend Clifton. As a Community School, our admissions for children starting school in Reception are processed and managed by Worcestershire Children First (working on behalf of Worcestershire County Council).
Please read the information below which gives details of our Pupil Premium Grant and how we allocated the funding. The Pupil Premium is an allocation of additional funding provided to schools to support specific groups of children who are vulnerable to possible underachievement. These include pupils who are entitled to free school meals (FSM), those looked after by the local authority and children of armed service personnel.
Here you will find out all about how we are using government funding to support and enhance the lives of our pupils and their families. At Clifton, we recognise the contribution of PE to the health and well-being to all of our pupils. We believe that a continued innovative, varied PE curriculum and extra-curricular opportunities has a positive influence on the concentration, attitude and academic achievement of every single learner in our school.
Unfortunately, following the withdrawal of the additional small schools' grant (after the second year of the policy), like many other small, rural schools, we aren't able to implement the government directive without using some of our precious education budget to subsidise the scheme. Parents in receipt of qualifying benefits are entitled to claim free school meals for all of their children.
