Ideally located in the heart of Grayshott Village, PK is conveniently situated next door to the Village Primary School and its playing fields.
Children join PK for fun, adventures and laughter - learning through playing and developing friendships with other children and adults. We love how nurturing the staff are and it's rare to have such a experienced, established team. Opened by Penny and Kay in 1987 (hence the name PK!), we have become a popular pre-school providing care, learning and preparation for School to families in Grayshott and surrounding Villages. Over the years we have successfully built strong links with local schools and the community.
Carol Houghton is our Play Leader, and has led the PK team since 2007. Prior to this role, Carol worked as a Play Assistant within PK and as a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) at Grayshott Primary School. As a parent herself, Carol embodies the spirit of PK. Carol is supported by a team of highly experienced Play Assistants.
All activities at PK are tailored to your child's individual needs ensuring they are age and stage appropriate. Children follow the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) as set out by the Department for Education and Skills. The Framework provides a good balance of daily adult-led activities and child initiated learning.
PK couldn't operate successfully without the active involvement of the parents, carers and local friends of the children we care for. We're very fortunate many are keen to take an active role in their children's education and the running and of the Pre-School. Once your child starts with us, you'll be invited to join the PK Committee.

Keeping PK small allows us to focus on the development of each child. We observe what a child can do and provide purposeful activities to extend their learning, following the Early Years Foundation Stage; thus enabling each child to reach his or her full potential.
