Wonersh Pre-School was established over 40 years ago. Located in the centre of the village, it is a community led pre-school run by a committee of parents and staffed by trained and experienced play leaders and assistants. There is a very low turnover of staff, which benefits the children enormously.
The pre-school is registered with OfSTED and is a member of the Pre-School Learning Alliance. I have noticed a tremendous change in my daughter since joining Wonersh Pre-School. She has become increasingly confident, trying new activities without hesitation, developing very good relationships with children and teachers alike.

Services
Young children learn through their senses, taking in information about the world through practical experience as they explore and experiment. We try to harness the children's natural curiosity to encourage and extend their learning. Their desire to investigate all aspects of their world provides the motivation for play.
The Pre-School runs daily during term time, and accepts children from age 2 to school age. The children arrive, are informally registered and can choose what they would like to play with. Children are encouraged to sit quietly while the register is called. We talk about the date, the weather, count how many children are present and what we are going to do during the session.
5.40 per hour for two year olds, until the term after they turn 3 and become eligible for the Universal Free Entitlement of 15 hours funded childcare. Then 4.78 per hour from the term after they turn 3 for any hours taken in addition to Free Entitlement. 3-4 year olds (from the term after their 3rd birthday) and eligible 2 year olds receive up to 15 hours of funded childcare.
