Book now to avoid disappointment - Places are limited! We are delighted to announce that our Stay and Play sessions have now recommenced on Tuesdays & Wednesdays, from 09:45 to 11:45. As well as our regular Outdoor Pre-School, we can tailor activities to suit your needs, whether you are a school, a nursery, or even if you want a birthday party with a difference.
Our Outdoor Pre-School follows the Forest School Approach and takes place on Mondays & Fridays from 9am to 4pm at Birtley Estate in Bramley, Guildford. A Forest School environment provides a classroom without walls, with space for children to explore, experience, develop their natural curiosity and learn in a practical context.

I am a qualified Level Three Forest School Leader with seven years in Early Years childcare, as well as a BA (Hons) degree in Early Years Management and Practice. I have a passion for working with children to give them a holistic Forest School experience. I am always keen to pass on my knowledge of the environment and believe that children need to be given the opportunity to learn how to manage their own risk.
A Forest School is an individual, inspirational and innovative approach to outdoor play. At Surrey Hills Forest School our aim is to inspire and motivate intrinsic learners through positive, achievable experiences. By embracing these experiences, the children become more confident and self-aware, whilst learning about boundaries, both physical and social.

Then come along to Surrey Hills Forest Schools Stay and Play sessions on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings, 9:45 to 11:45.
Due to the recent change to Government guidelines, we are unfortunately unable to take any Party bookings. Why not help your children celebrate the big day, whilst experiencing the beauty of the Surrey Hills? You provide the cake and candles, and we will provide the fun and excitement that you only get with a Forest School party.
In more recent times Forest School has played a bigger part in helping to encourage development across all areas of the Early Years and National Curricula. Research has shown that children who have taken part in Forest School programmes are better equipped to make decisions, take calculated risks and solve problems.
