Gill and Keith Burn would like to welcome you to Brenk House Farm Caravan and Camping site. We are situated on the south west corner of the North York Moors National Park just one mile from the beautiful village of Coxwold. We are a small family run 5 van CL on a working farm situated in the middle of open countryside.
The site is well maintained and reasonably flat. All of the 5 "pitches" have electric (we say pitches but you have around an acre of space to accommodate 5 vans). We actually have 6 electric points as tents increasingly request an electric point. We charge (2017) from 10/pitch/night or 12-50/pitch/night if you require electric hookup rising to 12-50 & 15-00 in July and August.

We are currently farming around 340 acres on the North East side of the village of Coxwold. A large amount of the land consists of a black peaty soil which if left to nature would be a natural marsh only prevented from doing this by a very deep drainage system. On the eastern boundary runs a stream which stands about 2m above ground level for a distance of around a mile which was built many years ago to supply the lake at Newburgh Priory.
The North York Moors National Park is one of the finest landscapes in Britain. Miles of stunning heather, towering sea cliffs, secluded beaches and grassy dales give it a character all of its own. Discover wildlife, historic buildings, archaeology, ancient woodlands and picturesque villages. Byland was one of the great Yorkshire Cistercian abbeys, housing at its zenith well over 200 monks and lay brothers.
Under new ownership Rob, Gill and the team welcome you to visit The Stapylton Arms (formerly Wombwell Arms). Previous owners of The White Swan in Ampleforth for 13 years, their experience has allowed them to create a fabulously inviting and enticing restaurant that is contemporary but still holds traditional elements throughout.
Cyclist may be interested that route 65 of the National Cycle Network passes through Coxwold. We have had several cycling campers stay, who where on a route originating in Europe using ferries at Newcastle and Hull. If you are coming from the York area keep on A19 until you can pick up signs for Husthwaite/Coxwold.
It was very well supported by around 200 people and raised around 1600-00. We are grateful for all the people who helped make this possible. The weather agian was very kind to us and everyone seemed to have a good time. For various reasons we will not be holding the Wild Camp in 2010 or 2011. At the moment we haven't decided if we could still run this as a bi-annual event or perhaps its time to think of something different.
