With our patients' needs at the heart of everything we do, our website has been designed to make it easy for you to gain instant access to the information you need. A supplier to the NHS has advised us of a global shortage of some equipment used for taking blood tests. Anyone who needs a test for urgent health problems, will still get one but where your clinician recommends that it's safe to do so, then you may be asked to come back for a test at a later date, or your appointment may be rescheduled.
Services
Whilst we encourage our patients to contact the surgery, where we have the proper equipment and facilities available, we do appreciate this is not always possible. In this respect, if you do need a home visit, you can help us by calling reception before 10:30. You may only request a home visit if you are housebound or are too ill to visit the practice.
You do not require a doctor's sickness certificate for any illness lasting seven days or less. If you are sick for more than seven days, your employer can ask you to give them some form of medical evidence to support payment of SSP (statutory sick pay). It is up to your employer to decide whether you are incapable of work.
If you are on long term treatment of any kind, you will be supplied with a repeat prescription list that must be agreed by the doctor. Please note you must give your repeat prescription order a minimum of three working days to be completed. If you are requesting a prescription early, please specify in detail the reason for this on your request.
The doctor reviews all test results and will make a comment on your medical records as to whether your result is normal or abnormal. The receptionist will be able to give you this information when you enquire and will advise if any action is recommended by the doctor. Please note it is your responsibility to contact the Surgery for your results as it is not possible to contact every patient individually.
Richmond patients can now self refer into physiotherapy without having to see a GP first if you are over 16 years old. Telephone referrals are available but the service is limited, it is for patients who are unable to use a computer or who do not have someone to help them. The telephone service operates between 10:00am and 12:30am on: 020 8714 4019.
