Pilates is a gentle system of exercises designed to improve physical strength, flexibility and posture. It is a great exercise for enhancing mental awareness. Our Pilates classes consist of very gentle exercises done on a mat in either a sitting or laying down position. The primary focus is on awareness of the spine, proper breathing, core strength and flexibility.
Yoga brings the mind, body and spirit together as one and is a wonderful exercise to help relieve stress and provide complete relaxation. It is so beneficial to the body and person as a whole, as long as the postures are practiced carefully and precisely on a regular basis then a positive difference can certainly be made.
Massage is rubbing and kneading of muscles and joints of the body with the hands, especially to relieve tension or pain. A Reflexologist works on points on the feet, lower leg and hands, and may also be performed on the ears and the face. This is a healing technique based on the principle that the therapist can channel energy into the client by means of touch.

If you are looking for a place to help you look after your body then look no further. the Pilates teachers are all really knowledgeable, and having attended for a number of years the variety that they bring to their classes still never fails to amaze me. if you want , or need, some physiotherapy then Peter and Tracey Butcher will look after you with years of experience, and having used the sports massage guys and the chiropodists all are excellent. Cant recommend the place enough.

I have been attending Pilates at Body Junction for over 10 years and enjoyed every class. I often say that if I couldn’t afford any of my other activities I would not give up Pilates. It keeps me active and I always feel stretched after the class. What’s more Charlotte makes it fun. Throughout the pandemic, when we have been unable to attend class, the teachers had a big learning curve and produced excellent classes on Vimeo to enable us to continue at home.

I have been here a couple of times for different things including Pilates, Physio and a Breathing Class. I saw Tracey Butcher for my Physio there, Tracey was great and helped me a lot. Pilates I had with Mel Feery and Mel always made sure I was doing the exercises right and her classes were always relaxed which I loved. I also recently did a breathing class with Charlotte Farrant which was perfect and Charlotte followed the class up with an email which I found very helpful.
I highly recommend going here, they often have evening or weekend classes which if you work full time like me is ideal.

I have been coming to The Body Junction every week for Pilates since it first opened 15 years ago and it has kept me fit and healthy, I absolutely love it. The staff are all very friendly, the classes are suitable for every level and I thoroughly recommend it. I don't know how I would have managed without it, especially in this last year of lockdown, when we have had classes on Zoom, a real bonus. Massage (with Kai) highly recommended. Not only has he the most relaxing voice, he has the ability to get straight to the point of pain/discomfort. I have now been receiving regular treatments for 5 months and cannot recommend him more highly - all my issues are under control. A treatment leaves me literally floating every time.

Just had a massage with Kai and it was excellent. A mixture of techniques, consistently applying the appropriate pressure and checked in with me to ensure it was too my liking. Relaxing and restorative in equal measure.
He’s also a very nice guy and has a calming presence, which helps.
This is my second massage at The Body Junction - it’s a good enviroment and I would thoroughly recommend both the location and Kai’s Massage - VERY good.
