We believe that every child is unique and our broad, exciting curriculum reflects this. We are proud of our reputation for ensuring that every child is treated as an individual, and are committed to building good relationships with everyone who steps through our doors. Our curriculum is a continually evolving blend of learning experiences, designed to develop the fundamental skills, which children need to succeed.
At Bredenbury Primary School, we are committed to ensuring equality of opportunity for all pupils, staff, parents and carers irrespective of race, gender, disability, belief, sexual orientation, age or socio-economic background. The core subjects and foundation subjects are all taught through a cross-curricular approach where it enhances learning or as discrete subjects.

In 1870 it was compulsory for schools to be established in parishes where there was no adequate education. Funds were raised by the ratepayers and the schools were run by locally elected boards. A school board of five members under the chairmanship of Mr W H Barnaby was founded in 1874 and the present school was built for the united districts of Grendon Bishop, Bredenbury and Wacton.
Bredenbury Primary is set in the breath taking rural setting of Herefordshire, we are approximately three miles south of the historic market town of Bromyard, and within easy reach of Leominster. The school is located just off the A44 in the village of Bredenbury. The school was founded in 1874 and some of our parents and grandparents came here as pupils.
At Bredenbury our classrooms are bright, spacious and cheerfully decorated to promote a happy 'feel good' environment that is safe, stimulating and inspiring. Each classroom has an Promethean Activ Board, a set of laptops and iPads. We are proud of the fact that we have 3 excellent sized classrooms and a large Library/ICT room in the centre of the school which is shared by all.
The work of the Governing Body is carried out for one purpose only and that is to give the children the best possible start in their school life. The Governing Body is made up at present of the Head Teacher and the Governors representing parents and the community. Parent governors (2) - elected by our parents to represent all parents and their children.
Whilst our curriculum is based on the National Curriculum, it is designed to meet the needs of our pupils in a small rural school. Our pupils are offered a very wide range of experiences to extend their understanding of themselves and the world in which they live.
Skills, attitudes and values are developed to prepare the children for the next stage of learning (Key Stage 1 to 2, and to be 'secondary ready'), and enable them to be successful in the community. We believe that effective learning takes place when there is considerable emphasis on active involvement, opportunities to talk both imaginatively, expressively and to explain and clarify thinking.

A wonderful caring school, that recognises each child as an individual. My children have attended Bredenbury since reception and have always been happy to attend and received an excellent academic education, while also being enriched with lots of outside activities, including forest school, a variety of sports and animal care with the on-site small animals. Since the school has been incorporated with the QE high school and appointed a new head of school it has continued to improve and makes the transition to high school easier as the children are already familiar with the staff and the QE campus
