Do not recommend to anyone, would give -5 stars if I could.
I’m honestly disgusted with the state my grandmothers dog was in when we picked him up after spending a week here. He was filthy, covered in mud and smelt like he’d been left to sleep in his own mess.
He was also clearly not fed properly as when we got him home he ate went through 2 big bowls of dog food in less than 10 minutes. To call this place dog care is ridiculous.
Had high hopes leaving the dog here while she went down south to visit family for Christmas and it was disgusting how he was returned, will definitely not be taking

We found this kennel after doing a lot of google research and was very impressed with the facilities they have.
We own a french bulldog, he is daddy’s boy so very spoiled and very loved, maybe more than my partner and we had to leave him for a first time in a kennel and Duke was the way to go.
He had a lot of time outside, a lot of pictures and videos taken, I felt very comfortable leaving him there.

Duke's Kennels provide a really good service. We've always found the team to be accommodating and as our dog is nervous around other dogs, the kennel set up with separate spaces and outdoor space is really handy.

Have left my westie there a number of times and she has enjoyed it, she always has had her own run, so plenty of room. and clearly has her own time in the concrete paddock outside as she can't go on the grass currently. The staff are always friendly and responsive, theyve stayed a little later to ensure i can get there after work to drop off my dog and this was no issue for them. There are some comments around the urine smell, this isn't anything out of the norm for kennels and to be honest better than most.

Vile, just vile. Ticks and stench.
From the first visit dropping them off the place looks nice enough.
However the rooms are tiny, one pen had 5 beagles stuffed into it.
The worst part was the stench of the place when you pick up your dogs.
I know its a kennel and you expect it to smell and be a bit messy, but there is no excuse for this.
Our dogs were left covered in piss and smelt foul! We had to bath them as soon as we got home.
Now we are finding ticks on our dogs!
Will never return here.

Disgusting boarding conditions and neglectful staff. The smell of urine was overwhelming and the kennels were filthy. This is, without doubt, the worst kennels we have have ever come across, and as experienced dog owners it saddens us to say that we would strongly advise against boarding your dog here.

If I could leave 0 stars I definitely would. We left our dogs here for a day and a half and picked them up where they absolutely stunk of urine-it was dried into their fur. My partner went to the kennel to get them and the whole room where all the dogs were stank of urine and the "sharer" room they had put them in was TINY and definitely not suitable for 2 medium sized dogs - they even had a kennel the same size with 5 beagals in it. Would not recommend in the slightest and will not be returning here. Absolutely disgusted with how they have "looked after" our boys
In addition to this, our dogs

Overall we have been very happy with the service from Dukes, we booked in short notice due to a mix up with our original booking here but gladly we were still accommodated. They post regular updates on their Facebook page so you get to see how your dog is getting on. When we picked out dog up he seemed happy and healthy an unlike other kennels he did not stink of urine or anything of the like. The staff seemed helpful and caring especially the girl who walks the dogs etc. Thanks guys Olly seemed happy enough when we collected him.

It took a while for our dog to settle here, as he had been used to another kennels which we had used for a number of years in Southport, he has separation anxiety so we knew it would take a while after we moved to this area. Now when we arrive he just runs in and goes into his kennel without any bother. When we pick him up he us always relaxed and happy, and smelling lovely after his bath (which is extra). The staff are friendly and helpful. We use the kennels 5-6 times a year.

We placed our dog at Duke kennels for 9 nights recently which was a rare experience for us all! After receiving a very warm welcome dropping him off we were assured he would be well cared for and before we arrived home, his photo was on facebook!
We were kept up to date throughout our holiday with plenty of photos and we could see he looked happy and well cared for.
Thank you guys for the good care you took of our treasured pooch, we can most certainly recommend this place (as was recommended to us). We will most certainly use your kennels again
