Brook Early Years Pre-School provides a curriculum for the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) 2012. We promote child-centred learning through play. Play is the foundation for learning and creative problem solving. Through good quality play children learn at their highest level, enabling them to actively be involved in their learning.

There are seven areas of learning and development that shape our educational programmes. Three areas are particularly crucial for igniting children's curiosity and enthusiasm for learning, and for building their capacity to learn, form relationships and thrive. We also support children in four specific areas, through which the three prime areas are strengthened and applied.
Part of the requirements of children being in an Early Years Setting is to document a child's progress through the form of a 'Learning Journey'. Up until now we have used a paper format, after careful consideration and much research we have decided to create individual 'Learning Journeys' for your child through a piece of educational software called 'Tapestry'.
Pre-school offers many benefits - it can be a great place for kids to interact with peers and learn valuable life lessons such as how to share, take turns, and follow rules. It also can prepare them for school and beyond. But going to pre-school does come with its fair share of emotions, for both the parent and the child.
We operate a waiting list for your child from any age, and recommend you book your place as early as possible (in the pram is not too soon!). PLEASE NOTE: Due to such high demand, we now only have an intake in September.
Should you be looking to start your child with us as soon as possible, please follow up your waiting list application with an email enquiring about availability otherwise your child will be placed on the next available waiting list.Personal details collected from this application are not retained should you be removed from the waiting list.
