Woolston Pre School
Woolston Preschools is made up of three settings in Southampton - Woolston Adventure Preschool, set in the grounds of Woolston Community Centre; Woolston Preschool, located onsite at Woolston Infant School; and Nature Preschool, our forest school setting located on the River Itchen in Bitterne. Our aim is to help children engage and develop through independent learning experiences and exciting challenges.

We are open term time only at both settings and welcome children from the age of 2 until they leave us to go to year R. Children are encouraged to attend at least two sessions a week. We offer flexibility and choice, working with parents to meet their childcare needs, from full childcare to a couple of sessions to help your child learn to socialise.
Services
Nurturing environment, with great facilities, preparing children for their next adventure to 'Big School'. Our second setting opened in 2001, within Woolston Infant School. Surrounded by greenery with plenty of outdoor learning opportunities, including a conservation area with a pond and extensive outdoor play areas, we are in an ideal location to prepare children for school life.
Harnessing nature and exploring new activities, we allow your child's sense of adventure to roam free. Set in the grounds of Woolston Community Centre in Church Road for more than 40 years, we are within easy reach of the centre of Woolston. The larger of the two settings, we provide a variety of engaging and exciting learning experiences both indoors and out.
Enhancing children's sense of adventure is at the heart of what we do - with the forest and beach on our doorstep. Nature Preschool is nestled in the woodland of Bitterne Manor, Southampton and on the shoreline of the River Itchen - yet conveniently located just off the Northam Bridge (Bitterne Road West).

Woolston Preschools are run by a voluntary committee of parents and carers. The Committee is responsible for setting the preschools' policies, managing and engaging staff, fundraising and organising social events. It is not responsible for day-to-day operations: that responsibility lies with the manager of each setting and their staff.
