At Yoga on the Lane we teach Vinyasa yoga. Sometimes called Dynamic Flow, Vinyasa focuses on graceful, harmonized sequences that look to synchronise mind and body by aligning breath and movement. We host a range of classes, courses and workshops at our lovely light-filled studio in Dalston, east London, and we cater to everyone: complete beginners, experienced practitioners, pregnant women, and mothers with babies.
Our studio has a special floor-warming system that means even those winter morning savasanas will be nice and snug. We have bolsters, blocks, straps, mats, blankets and everything you'll need to make your class comfortable and enjoyable whatever the session.

Services
Like everyone else we've been madly scrambling to adjust to the new reality and we're still finding our way. For now, we're running a shortened restructured timetable but it will keep evolving over the coming days and weeks so please keep checking in to see where we're at. For now, book into class as normal just as you would have done via our MindBody page.
New to yoga or looking to feel more confident with your practice? Then you need Rosie Gold's beginners course. It's for anyone who can't touch their toes, anyone scared of yoga, anyone who eats too much, drinks too much and pretends they run more than they do. Over six gentle hour-long sessions she will build you a basic yoga practice at a comfortable, approachable pace.
All online Zoom classes - Pilates, Meditation and Yoga are 10. An Online Ten Class Card (valid for three months) is 85. If your income has fallen off a cliff because of the pandemic, please email the studio and we'll arrange a concession rate of 6. At the moment we only have space for eight mats in the studio and so our in-person classes are 15.
At Yoga on the Lane we believe that yoga is about personal transformation on and off the mat. To this end our teacher training focuses on how to teach flowing vinyasa with a special emphasis on mindful movement and intelligent sequencing, exactly the kind of yoga we believe helps creates clarity and focus in your self-relationship.

This is my favourite London yoga space. It's small, intimate, friendly and the teachers are consistently good. I live locally and use it often selecting classes on convenient times for me as I know I will always enjoy the classes. There is a warmth to the place that you don't get in the larger studios and the atmosphere with the attendees is always extremely relaxed.

After trying out 40 odd yoga studios in London. Most of them offering superb yoga instructors... this one certainly won my heart as a whole. It has a cosy, local, homey atmosphere... every instructor I’ve tried are vibrating with positivity and are genuinely humble. Very professional too. The students are mostly local residents and regulars. Happy to travel an extra mile for this cute little yoga studio! Thank you for shining light into my daily life in rainy ol’ London! :-)

What a wonderful studio. I came to know yoga on the lane first as a student and now as teacher who teaches there. It is a warm, friendly and welcoming space for all levels. There is a real sense of community… and the teachers are fab. After class you can wander next door to the fab mouse and de lotz for a coffee- what could be better?! Highly recommend.

Best yoga studio ever. I spent years looking for somewhere in London that taught yoga properly and the teachers here are incredible. They never encourage people to do poses they aren't ready for and always guide people carefully. After each class I feel really refreshed mentally, it is a place where you get time to devote to you, your body, your mind. I LOVE IT. I'm currently looking to leave London and this is one of the places I'll miss most.

Avoid. It was a nice space (and the staff were fine) but they packed so many people into the room that you couldn't move let alone stretch. The teacher also wasn't able to make adaptations to accommodate my injury which I would of expected them to have done. I bought a block of 10 classes and only ended up only using 4 of them it was so bad. The last time I went was a while ago so maybe it's improved but my advice would be: approach with caution

This is without a doubt the best yoga place I have been to in London. Not just East London, where I live, but LONDON! Basically, I know that I can turn up to any class, any time or day and expect a high quality teacher and excellent and rejuvinating experience. Yes. I think you can firmly say I recommend this place! :) xx

I went to the lunch time class and it was really over crowded . This annoyed me as I'd rang up beforehand to find out how busy the lunch time classes get and had been told they aren't too bad so I wasted my journey. As I was there, I decided I might as well try the class anyway but I couldn't do the poses properly because my arms kept hitting the wall next to me. The room is absolutely tiny! I also felt like the teaching wasn't great - the class was a little boring to be honest. I wouldn't go back.

I have attended pregnancy yoga here throughout the last 6 months. The pregnancy classes are excellent with skilled, experienced teachers (Louisa and Naomi). You are encouraged to adapt your practice to suit whatever stage you are at - I found these classes as challenging and relaxing at 19 weeks as I did at 40 weeks. Tea is always provided afterwards and I made some great friends and acquaintances as a result. Thank you Yoga on the Lane!

YOTL is a comfortable and clean yoga studio with wonderful yoga teachers, all with a similar philosophy of eclectic yoga, taking the best practices of yoga poses for class.
I am an have been taking classes in many yoga centers in NYC and London and this is one of my favorite places. I have only had great teachers each time I go.
The teachers are caring, observant and smart. The dynamic classes are truly dynamic! I leave feeling invigorated and open. OM.

I recently started doing yoga and whilst copying the works of Tara Stiles from Youtube videos is good practice, i thought it was time i had some real-life, interactive instruction.
Having searched around, i found a few gyms and fitness centres that offered classes but was lucky enough to stumble across Yoga On The Lane. I live in East London so the location is perfect. Tucked behind the hustle and bustle of Dalston's busy Kingsland Road, Yoga On The Lane provides the tranquil and peaceful setting you would expect from a yoga centre - as soon as i walked in i felt relaxed.

One of my favourite Yoga spots. Opened by the lovely Naomi, she completey gutted the place and made a wonderful little studio complete with under floor heating for chilly winter days. A bit off the beaten track but really easy to get to. A very encouraging studio atmosphere too. Longer workshops and retreats are also planned, but they book up pretty quick. They're also on twitter :) - @YogaOnTheLane
