Built in 1604, Elm Farm Country House is ideally situated in Horsham St Faith in the heart of Norfolk within easy reach of Norwich and the East Anglian coast. With its charm and beauty, it is the perfect location for a weekend break or home base for a Norfolk holiday. Come and relax in beautiful surroundings in our 17th century farmhouse and wander around the extensive gardens.
Come and relax in beautiful surroundings in our 17th century farmhouse, wander around the extensive gardens and visit the 'Garden of Eden' surrounded by 400 year old flint walls - the perfect spot for photographs. My name is Sally Williams and I am the proud owner of Elm Farm Country House in Horsham St Faith, Norwich.
Thought to have been settled in early Saxon times, the village takes its name from the River Hor, which runs through it on its way from Horsford to Horstead; and a Benedictine priory, founded in honour of the French Saint Faith. Horsham St Faith is that most quintessential of English villages. No, not a sterile picture-postcard setting of manicured cottages; it's the real thing - displaying a genuine Norfolk character with deep roots.
The restaurant is split into two areas. The first, with 14th century carved oak ceilings and beamed walls, seats up to 25 people. Perfect for family meals or get-togethers, the second area is a recently-completed extension. Enjoy a meal in one of our interesting rooms at Elm Farm Country House. The Lounge is the oldest part of Elm Farm and, reputedly, the ceiling was reclaimed from another building when the farm was built in 1604.
We are proud to be able to offer outdoor civil ceremonies at Elm Farm Country House, one of few venues in Norfolk which can offer this facility. Held in the 'Garden of Eden', our outdoor ceremonies are quite something, under a huge oak pergola. Even if the weather lets us down it won't dampen your guests' spirits!
