Beautiful presentation, excellent service but complete rip-off! For the first time I and my friends walked out of a Michelin star restaurant hungry. The portions while beautiful were child size . Like the smallest bowls .. smallest everything . Not one portion we felt filled us up, was hot enough . Visually just pretty .. taste was strictly average . Lot of pretentious stuff . We actually walked out and had a proper meal elsewhere . Would I recommend it and come back again ? Never

One of my favourite restaurants. It was our second time here and tasting menu was perfect this time! We had 8 courses tasting menu. I had regular and my partner had vegan one. Both were great and my favourite was panna cotta with pears in wine!! I could just visit for this dessert. Every dish is described and people working at this place creating magical atmosphere. Really good restaurant for romantic lunch or dinner.

We had the 8 course taster menu and were looking forward to it very much ... well I'm pleased to say it didn't disappoint. All of the courses were fantastic - brilliant tasty food, superbly presented and described by the excellent staff. A superb experience, topped off nicely with the expertly chosen pairing wines. A night to remember!!

Lovely 8 course vegetarian tasting menu dinner at this conveniently located restaurant.
I had allergies and we are both vegetarian. They catered for us well as I had given my restrictions in advance.
Some of the meals were tastier than others but each course had something unique to offer. They have a great selection for vegetarians and vegans.

My partner and I visited this place yesterday and we are disappointed with the experience. There are many other Michelin-star restaurants which will give you a much better experience for the same budget or… under. We was situated very close by to the next tables and I found it very difficult to hold a conversation with the surrounding noise.
The canapé of a solitary radish was the least inventive and most underwhelming thing to eat. Other than that the food was good, and presentation was excellent but it was extremely small portions and we had, vegan A La Carte (starter/main/dessert

My wife and I celebrated our 6th year anniversary, 40th birthday and us being 6 months pregnant. As soon as we entered the restaurant we were greeted with a warm reception and genuine happiness for all of our amazing news. We were then seated in an intimate and homely setting (more my style of dinning) the service was impeccable and the servers were knowledgeable and professional whilst also being human. My wife had the Vegan menu which was incredible except for the Vegan cheese (avoid at all cost) I opted for the meat course which apart from having my own preferences was outstanding from start

Booked a table for a birthday celebration. Ordered the 10 course tasting menu (vegetarian and carnist) the food and service were impeccable. The owner can to our table and served one of the courses which was a nice touch. We finished the meal with a glass of pineau. Highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a high quality dining experience.

I wasn't very keen on the overall ambience of their public dining space. It looked like they just opened, like an old coat just got out of the heirloom closet. It was too cramped up, the interior display and design was not visually entertaining. The sommelier seemed generic, the recommendation was just submissive. No independent input, whatsoever. The ten-course dinner was all over the place in terms of presentation. The theme was unstructured. The table cloth was rough. I don't feel the vibe. However, I feel full. It was satisfying but didn't really exceed expectations. Going up the toilet was

Amazing vegan tasting menu. The food was delicious, the wine pairing was delicious, it was an amazing vegan fine dining experience.
My boyfriend and I went here for our anniversary, and we had a lovely romantic experience.
The service was amazing too, we had a lovely server and a lovely sommelier as well. Highly recommend this restaurant, especially the vegan tasting menu!

I had a great vegan tasting menu at Pied a Terre (a Michelin Star restaurant) for my birthday. The service was excellent and the waiters were friendly. The meal took about 3 hours from start to finish but that time really flew by. I attached photos for each part but wanted to highlight the following
#1 "Snacks": We received bread with a planter filled with "dirt" made of olives with two radishes inside. While the dirt was a little too dry/crumbly, I was very impressed with the idea of this.
#2 "Summer Salad": Very good except the flowers tasted similar to goat cheese

Speaking of service, no one can fault Pied a Terre. From the moment we stepped into the restaurant, all the servers knew of our dietary requirements, and were conscious to serve my wife and I different food. Even drinks they suggested were customised which I was really impressed.
We had the tasting menu, the food was superb and though the portion of each dish were small, the total is certainly more than the sum of parts.
Each dish were unique, and flavours were great.
While the food I'd say is more 4 stars, the service combined with the overall experience made it a 5.

I am a big fan of Andy's cooking style when he was at L' Autre Pied, so it was interesting to see how he had adapted at the more formal, upmarket Pied a Terre. The cooking on the night for me was less creative if I was to directly compare it to L' Autre Pied, but without a doubt it was more elegant and refine. The service was faultless, also I really like how they have refurnished the restaurant since I last visited two years ago, it has a much more classy feel to it now without losing its cosiness. I would definitely return in 2016 to see how Andy progresses and fine-tunes his cooking

I'm a little confused about all the 5 star reviews. The restaurant isn't bad but it's certainly not up there with other Michelin star restaurants out there.
To start the service was terrible. So slow. Our reservation was at 8 and we didn't get our food menu until 9 when I had to ask for it myself!
When we finally ordered we decided to go a la carte. I ordered the quail to start which was delicious. I ordered the salmon for main course. It was cooked perfectly however my asparagus was way overlooked and I found a bone in my salmon. Not to mention the portion was tiny. Both courses

Wow!!
I was taken here for my birthday December last year. I think from the moment we stepped in it was clear that we were not the usual clientele. But that only made the servers more wonderful to us.
With every course the sommelier came over and spoke to us in terms we would understand explaining the wine to us and not making us feel uncomfortable at all.
We had seven amazing courses.
Truffle velouté to start. Only one mouthful but bursting with flavour. Then deep fried mussels with a little basil jelly inside.
Again bursting with flavour. Then pickled mackerel. Again just lovely, and

Definitely a quintessential Michelin experience. Service and attention to detail was immaculate. We got the 10-course tasting menu and the table was cleared and reset after every dish. Each dish was consistently high quality, delicious and beautifully presented. I was impressed by their epic wine selection (basically two huge book volumes).
While the staff were nothing but welcoming and accommodating I still felt a little bit intimidated being in such a high class place, just because every single detail in the restaurant was so precise. Certainly the most extravagant - and suitably expensive -

The welcome was warm and accommodating despite arriving well ahead of the booked time. This was followed by excellent perfectly judged service throughout.
The food was similarly excellent, surprisingly filling despite the magnificent presentation. The lunch menu is excellent value for the quality on offer.
The waiting staff had realised that this was a treat (a birthday card was in its envelope on the table), and as soon as they had opportunity enquired with me. The meal was then finished by presentation of a birthday platter with further Petits Fours. I forgot to mention, the Petit Fours were

Pied a Terre has become one of our favorite London restaurants. The atmosphere is intimate, and perfectly suited to romance or business discussions.
The food--especially the tasting menus--is as good as any from London's other top rated restaurants. But the real difference at Pied a Terre is the wine service.
Rather than simply selecting and pouring wines with each course, it is the restaurant's practice to offer a blind tasting, where the wine is poured first so you can taste it alone, then the course is served so you can see how it matches, and then you are asked to comment on the

Amazing dining adventure! I went there with 4 friends on a Saturday night and went for the 10 course tasting menu without wine pairings.
While looking at the menu we were offered with a tuna tartare with potato and garlic croquette as "amuse-buche". Definitely a great start. The actual tasting experience started with quail poached egg served on a (really amazingl) asparagus cream. This first course made us understand we came to the right place.
It followed a tuna tartare served with mini fried squid tentacles and basil velloute'. Again, an extraordinary preparation. (Only flaw

So, here I am, the day after, and I feel like I would've enjoyed sitting on the sidewalk and lighting the 250 pounds on fire instead of having dinner at this place.
See, I'm vegan. But, we called ahead and fessed up and asked them if this was OK. They said sure, no problem. Indeed, they even advertise a vegetarian menu. So, they at least appear to think outside of the box a bit. Can't really lose, right?
No. Stop. This line of thinking is wrong. Here's what actually happened.

What a great dining experience! The food and services are both top notch. My friend and I went for the 7 course tasting menu. We started with chestnut and juniper gnocchi with chestnut and truffle veloute. It was very tasty and I can just take a whole bowl of the veloute sauce as a soup course. Next we have a pan-friend fillet of cod. For main, we had two types of lamb, slow cooked neck of lamb and nice piece of loin. I have to say the portion was quite generous. Another thing that is worth mentioning is the bread. The whole time when we were enjoying the differences courses, we were given several

This Michelin one star, downgraded after a chef change from two stars, was eagerly anticipated on our one night in London, as we were returning home through London after Istanbul, Vienna, and Prague. A small restaurant, we were greeted by a somewhat confused hostess who had us walk around the two room restaurant to choose a table, unable to speak intelligibly in either English or French. We concluded later, when she brought a check to the table before we had even had our amuse bouche, that she may have been a bit handicapped and forgive her befuddlement.

We had a top-class evening out at Pied a Terre. We ate from the a la carte menu and we were happy with all of our courses. We were delighted with the warm and personable service throughout the whole evening. It is a Michelin starred restaurant, so you expect to see a lot of bonus courses in the way of a bread selection, amuse bouches and petits fours at the end. They did each of these very well. The bill was a bit pricey, but for this experience I feel it was worth it.
My first impression was that the tables were rather close together, but as the evening progressed, this didn't feel

I celebrated my birthday here just before it gained its Michelin status and had an outstanding meal as did my fellow diners. Highlights included a rabbit dish which truly showed what varied flavours can be gained from the succulent and versatile meat, and a crisp skinned, perfectly executed sea bass dish.
The atmosphere is chic, elegant, but without being unwelcoming. Prices have risen slightly since the Michelin status was awarded, but this is to be expected and standards have not slipped since my first visit.

I loved it! I went here with my friend for lunch and we both were super excited. The friendliness of the staff, the presentation and the food was just wonderful. As usual in nice places like this you get a lot of extras like freshly baked bread with sea salted butter, amuse bouche and for coffee pralines, cakes...
If you dont have a lot of money but a passion for food, then come for lunch. 3 course was 25£ which is a bargain compared to what quality food you will get.
