We are a fun, friendly pre-school based in central Ely, Cambridgeshire. We work in partnership with parents and carers to provide high quality care and education for children aged 2.5 to 4 years old. Rainbow Pre-school is run by a team of fully qualified staff with the backing of a committee.
At Rainbow, the staff are genuinely passionate about the children in their care, making them feel safe and secure, in an environment where our children can thrive.The staff are by far its greatest asset, and all four of my children remember their time at Rainbow with fondness as it gave them a brilliant start to their education and memories that will stay with them forever.

Services
Our aim is to provide a safe, happy, secure and caring environment for our children and to encourage them to learn and develop emotionally, socially, physically and intellectually through play and discovery. As well as our indoor learning space, we have a spacious playground with a pergula, offering a bright area for lots of outdoor activities and a special designated 'mud kitchen'.
Rainbow is a pre-school that is not-for-profit, and is managed by a voluntary committee made up of parents and carers whose children attend the pre-school. The committee works closely with the Pre-school Manager and staff to ensure the smooth running of the Pre-school. We encourage parents to join the committee and help the pre-school in whatever way they can.
Rainbow Pre-school is a charity and we are always grateful for any help and support that we receive. To keep providing our outstanding childcare provision, fundraising becomes a key objective for us. The committee is a group of parent and carer volunteers who have fundraising aims each year.
Funds raised will also help maintain and update the pre-school equipment, decorate and maintain the building, provide play, craft and learning resources and help towards other costs of the pre-school.A really good, easy way to fundraise for Rainbow while doing your everyday online shopping. Rainbow Pre-school has designated Key People, each with a group of children for whom they are particularly responsible. Your child's Key Person will be the person who works with you to make sure that the childcare that we provide is suited to your child's needs and interests.
They will be available for you to discuss any concerns you may have and we also include a small book in your book bag for non-urgent communications with your Key Person and other staff members.

Our minimum age is 2.5 years old. For those children going into their pre-school year you will be able to request any session during the week. Monday, Wednesday and Friday afternoons are dedicated to our pre-school children where they will benefit from focused time and primary school preparation.
For those children not going into their pre-school year you will be able to request any time on a Tuesday and Thursday and Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings.Our younger children at Rainbow are called 'Cubs' and our pre-school children are called 'Tigers'. Our packed lunch club will involve parents or carers providing your child with a healthy lunch to bring to Rainbow if they are attending a full day session.

I cannot recommend Rainbow Preschool enough. After speaking to one of the Rainbow parents about concerns with my son's existing preschool, I decided to move my son and its been the best decision. The staff are amazing and really care for the children like their own. I love receiving the weekly newsletters with details of the theme for the week, reminders of events and activities which will be taking place each day. I have seen so much more confidence in my son. The older preschoolers even have dedicated days to help them prepare for primary school. It's these little touches together with the staff

My daughter had such a lovely year there. She brought home so many amazing things she had made there. It was the right place for my daughter to become more confident and ready for reception year. Always felt valued and safe. All staff members are so lovely and professional. Can only recommend!
