Stepping Stones Pre-School works in Partnership with Parents/Carers to provide quality care, and play-based learning activities and a breakfast and after school club and a lunch club for Pre-School children in the local Littleport and surrounding area. Stepping Stones Pre-school is run by a team of fully qualified staff with the full backing of a committee involving both parents and staff.
Our aim is to provide a safe, secure and caring environment for all our children encouraging them to learn and develop through play and exploration. This in turn lays the foundations required to make the transition to Primary School much easier.

Services
The aim of Stepping Stones Pre-School is to care for our children and give them the best start to their education. We do this by encouraging independence, creating a stimulating environment and supporting their characteristics of learning. Along with allowing them to take risks and make their own choices, which in turn allows them to be the individuals they are.
Stepping Stones Pre-School has served the village of Littleport for many years, and we are happily situated in a lovely building adjacent to the new Littleport & East Cambridgeshire Academy. Stepping Stones is a non-profit making organisation run by Committee and Staff working together to provide a happy and safe environment for your children to grow and learn.
Reflecting on Quality, the Pre-School Learning Alliance's accreditation scheme, supports nurseries and preschools to aim for the highest possible standards of education and care for children. By achieving Reflecting on Quality, settings can demonstrate to parents, professionals and the wider community that the service offered is of a consistently high standard.
Stepping Stones Pre-School is a non- profit making group and is managed by a voluntary committee made up largely of parents. All parents are encouraged to be part of running the pre-school. The committee is re-elected each year in January/February at the Annual General Meeting but additional new members can be elected at any point during the year.
We do also try to mirror where possible things that are going on in the community/outside world. We have organisations and groups visit us too, from Chick Hatching with the Happy Chick Company, Zoolab - Rainforest Adventures, Mrs Melody, the Fire Brigade, the Police etc. As part of the Pre School and Early Years Foundation Stage, every child has an allocated key person.
