Littleport Community Preschool is a charity run organisation offering early years education for children aged 2 1/2 years of age to school entry. At Littleport Community Preschool, Diversity is valued; working in partnership with parents and carers we are committed to ensuring every child is encouraged and supported on their unique learning journey, regardless of race, gender, social and economic background, ability, or disability.
Littleport Community Pre-School is a non-profit making organisation, run by Committee and Staff, and have been providing high quality care and education for children below statutory school age for over 30 years. We offer a happy and safe environment, where our Keyworkers work with the children by encouraging and developing, creative, social, emotional, and physical growth and development of our children.
Littleport Community Pre-School is a registered non- profit making Charity, that is managed by an Executive Voluntary (Unpaid) Committee. The Committee is largely made up of parents of children who attend the Pre-School, and are elected by members of the charity at the Annual General Meeting, which takes place each year in November.
Pre-School activities are planned from the seven areas of learning from the Early Year's Foundation Stage. These are Personal, Social and Emotional development, Communication and Language development, Physical Development, Literacy, Mathematics, Understanding and the World and Expressive Arts and Design.
For those of you with children that arrive at Pre-School at lunchtime, please can we ask that you say goodbye to your child, before encouraging them to take themselves to wash their hands, prior to sitting down for their lunch. We always try to promote and encourage independence, so we would therefore ask that Parents / Carers do not open lunch boxes for their own or anyone else's children.
