We provide expert care for all your animals, including domestic pets, livestock and horses. Founded in 1886 at Kingston House in Sherborne, our practice is one of the longest established veterinary practices in the UK. Originally involved in treating horses and farm livestock, we've since developed into a modern practice, offering the highest standards of care to all species.
Our Yeovil surgery opened in 1949 and relocated to purpose-built premises on the Abbey Manor Park in 1989. We were one of the first practices in the UK to develop a purpose-built equine surgical unit in Rimpton, which relocated to Longburton in 1991, with a second surgical unit established in Buckhorn Weston in 2012.

Services
There are records of a veterinary practice at Kingston House in 1890. In those days the practice was mainly involved in treating horses and farm livestock, and in fact the buildings that stabled the vet's horses that were used on their rounds of calls are still in use by the practice today. The Kingston Veterinary group has a wide client base of small animal, farm and equine clients in both Somerset and Dorset.
It is really important that the products we place on the market, whether they are milk or meat, are fit for human consumption by being free from disease and contamination. The types of vaccines used vary from farm to farm and whether the herd is predominantly dairy cow or suckler cattle. Routine veterinary treatments are also farm specific.
The farm team at Kingston are a forward thinking group that look at the future of veterinary medicine in the farming industry whilst also staying true and humble to our Dorset roots. Our team actively invests their time in building relationships with you and to better understand your animals and business needs.
