As lifelong dog owners we know how hard it is to go on holiday and leave your dog behind. That's why we decided to start our business offering a home environment for your dog to live in whilst you enjoy your holiday. Home is a 5 acre small holding just outside Chester. All dogs that stay live with us as part of the family and enjoy daily walks in our own 6 acre private wood.

Services
Cathy grew up locally on a dairy farm and has owned dogs all of her life. After leaving school Cathy joined the Royal Veterinary Corps where she completed her basic military dog handlers course before moving onto the equine division. After leaving the Army, Cathy was the first civilian groom to work for the Household Division in London where she was responsible for preparing Officers horses.
All dogs that come on holiday to us have the run of the house and yes, we even let them on the sofa! We have a very large, fully fenced garden and an additional 5 acres of paddock at the rear of the house. Dogs get an hours walk every morning in our 6 acre private wood and an afternoon walk as well as the opportunity to play with other boarding dogs in our secure garden.
I've had dogs since I was 12 years old and have seen quite a few boarding kennels in my time. I've got a 9 month old Welsh Terrier puppy ( Bryan) who's our pride and joy, so didn't want him to be locked up in a run all day. Cathy, Sam and their daughters are a really friendly happy bunch, who clearly love dogs.
If you are coming to drop off your dog please use these directions to find us as we are tucked away! Continue on another 100m and you will see a sign for Ashcroft Farmhouse and Barn (Yes we know.lot's of Ashcroft's). Right next door is an entrance with two five bar gates and at last a sign saying Ashcroft Cottage.

As soon as you arrive at Ashcroft cottage you just know your dog is going to love staying there. The photos on the website are exactly what it says on the tin. The grounds to the house are massive and there are 5 acres of land with woods for walking.
Cathy & her husband are very friendly approachable people who are genuinely interested in your dog’s wellbeing. We were texted regularly while on holiday with updates as to how our dog was enjoying his holiday!
