The ethos of Go As You Please was conceived and developed following the loss of a family member of Carl Marlow, the owner of the company. He felt that the funeral industry was cashing in on grieving families by charging high prices and offering limited options.
Go As You Please was established in 2001, with an aim to change the industry by offering customers' an honest affordable service, and to help create meaningful celebrations of their loved ones lives.Over the years we have helped over 10, 000 families organise funerals for their loved ones.

There are only a few elements of a funeral which are essential. The Direct to Crematorium plan is a practical low cost option which covers only these elements. Whilst suitable for those on a budget, this plan is also perfect for those who wish to break from tradition and remember their loved one in their own way.
Established in 2001, our natural burial ground, Seven Penny Meadow, is located in an idyllic hilltop position with breath-taking views across the Derwent valley; close to Hamsterley Mill and Medomsley in County Durham. Natural burial is a term used to describe the burial of the deceased in an area which creates new habitats for wildlife (flora and fauna) or preserves existing habitats.
Our fully inclusive Natural Burial Plans include everything you need for your funeral including our beautiful handmade natural wicker coffins. We provide simple floral decoration around the edge of the coffin as standard, creating a decorative flourish and striking visual for attendees.
The plan is otherwise simple in line with the natural theme, and we encourage customisation and participation in order to create a memorable celebration of a person's life. There are only a few elements of a funeral which are essential.
