Meridian Community Primary School and Nursery is in Peacehaven, East Sussex, and seven miles outside of the historic city of Brighton. The school is situated between the beautiful hills of the South Downs and the south coast, so we benefit from having both countryside and sea close at hand. We are a two-form entry primary school with sixteen classes from Reception to Year Six and a Nursery class (age range 2 - 4 years old).
We are fortunate to have two large playgrounds, a large playing field and Forest School area which the children can access as part of the curriculum. Our school website, mobile app and podcasts are created using School Jotter, a Webanywhere product.

I am incredibly proud to be Headteacher at such a great school where children, staff, governors and parents work extremely hard and have high expectations of one another. The wonderful team at Meridian is committed to the highest standards of teaching and learning, achieved through a combination of challenge, support, encouragement and praise to ensure that all students reach their full potential.
At Meridian Community Primary School our vision is to provide a safe, supportive, caring and stimulating learning environment where our children achieve their full potential in all areas of development, fostering a love and enjoyment of learning which will equip them for every future challenge. The Governing Board meets around 10 times per academic year, there is also a Pay Committee which meets once per year. The governors' duty is to lead the school and support the Head Teacher and Senior Leadership Team in determining the strategy and direction of the school, the implementation of statutory requirements including policies and monitoring the school improvement plan through active participation.
At Meridian Primary School the health, safety and wellbeing of all of our children is a high priority. Parents and Carers send their children to our school each day, trusting us to provide a secure environment in which their children will flourish. We do everything we can to ensure that this expectation is a reality in our school.
