Sunbeams Pre-school was established in 1971 to meet the needs of children from Rockland St Mary, Surlingham and the surrounding villages. The pre-school is positioned in a purpose build building on the site of Rockland St Mary School, where our nurturing and supportive staff provide a range of play and learning experiences for children aged between 2 to 5 years old.
The well structured activities at Sunbeams will support and aid your child's development whilst preparing them for school life and we are very proud to have had this recognised and been rated 'GOOD' by OFSTED in 2017.

Our vision at Sunbeams is to provide a safe, secure and nurturing environment for your child to play, learn and develop socially, emotionally, physically and across all areas of the EYFS curriculum, with the support and encouragement of our qualified, experienced and friendly staff and to ensure your child is prepared for their transition to primary school.

Children can attend Sunbeams from the term in which they turn 2 years of age. Our admissions policy requires that for the first term they should attend a minimum of 2 sessions, thereafter children should attend a minimum of 3 sessions per week to ensure continuity for your child and the opportunity to develop a strong relationship with their key worker.
The fees are payable every half term and are worked out by the number of sessions in the term. On taking up a place in the pre-school you will be asked to pay the first half term's fees at the start of the term. We would prefer payment by BACS, cheque or childcare vouchers. Any cheques must be made payable to Sunbeams Pre-school.
