Scarning Pre-School is Ofsted registered and all staff are trained in The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). The Pre School is open during school term times. Monday to Friday from 9.00am - 12.00pm for morning sessions and 12.00pm - 3.00pm for afternoon sessions. 9.00am - 3.00pm for full day sessions.

Scarning Pre-School is a charity based organisation, located within the grounds of Scarning Primary School. We are run independently from the school by an elected committee of pre-school parents. Scarning Pre-School is Ofsted registered and all staff are trained in The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
We operate a "free flow" system whereby the garden area is regarded as an extension of indoors and children are encouraged to play outside and engage in outdoor activities at any time during the session. Outdoor activities include physical play (bikes, cars, climbing frame, etc) with opportunities to support the understanding of science and nature using plants, wildlife, water and sand.
In order to feel free to explore and experiment with all kinds of materials, including messy ones, it is best to send children dressed in clothes which are easily washed or not too new, and which are practical and appropriate. Sweatshirts and T-shirts in the red Pre-School uniform colours can be purchased through the Pre-School.
Parental involvement is informal and voluntary but it is the lifeblood of our pre-school and critical to its future - withput a committee of trustees Scarning pre- school would not exist. The pre- school is a registered Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) whereby the pre-school has its own separate legal identity from the trustees/committee members.
