Every aspect of service at Stour Lodge was excellent and the owners most helpful and very thoughtful to our requirements. This accommodation is absolutely excellent, and I highly recommend it to adults visiting this area. We had an enjoyable stay at Stour Lodge, our first visit to Christchurch, we hope to return.
Services
Stour Lodge is a small and friendly guest house run by its resident owners, Janet and Vincent Banks, who take great pride in ensuring their guests' stay is a comfortable and enjoyable experience. We offer a calm and relaxing environment for you to enjoy your stay in Christchurch. Our visitors are mainly couples and families with older children, no children under 10 are catered for.
Check in will be strictly between 16:00 and 18:30, except under exceptional circumstances. More rigorous cleaning and sanitization procedures between stays means that we can no longer offer early check in. Buses run along Stour Road, with a stop very close by, providing transport links to Christchurch Town Centre and to Bournemouth.
Enjoy your breakfast in our attractive dining room served from 8:30am - 9.30am (earlier by arrangement). Local free range farm eggs, grilled bacon, local farm sausages, grilled tomato, mushrooms, baked beans and hash brown. A vegetarian breakfast is always available. We will also try our best to accommodate the special dietary needs of our guests if given advance notice at the time of booking.
Christchurch is uniquely situated on the shores of its own harbour, close to the magnificent Dorset World Heritage Coast and the tranquil New Forest National Park. The mix of fascinating heritage, beautiful coastline and countryside and wide variety of attractions provide all the ingredients to make your holiday or short break extra special.
Christchurch is uniquely situated on the shores of its own harbour, close to the magnificent Dorset World Heritage Coast and the tranquil New Forest National Park. These walks are close to the Guest House but are all very different experiences. 3 miles (58 mins) from the Guest House, mostly flat, then an extra 20 mins over the headland or along the water's edge below the cliffs to the spit.
