We would like to tell you about Castle Lane Day Nursery in Market Harborough, Leicestershire before warmly inviting you to come and visit us. We are proud of our established nursery and the fact that many of our staff have been with us since 1994, offering children the familiarity that comes with continuity of care.
Services
At Castle Lane Day nursery, all staff are qualified first aiders and this is updated every 2 years. All staff have completed their safeguarding qualification and on-going training is provided to everyone, to ensure that their knowledge stays fresh. The staff at Castle Lane are committed to ensuring that your child develops in a safe and stimulating environment.
For most mums and dads, the very idea of having someone else look after their baby fills them with worry. And as mums and dads ourselves, we are the first to recognise that. Which is why we work so hard to make sure our Baby Room at Castle Lane is a safe home from home environment for your little one, with the same standard of care we would all want for our own children.
As you can imagine, our toddler room is where our little ones start to gain awareness and confidence to explore the world around them. As all parents will know, at this age, toddlers are into everything! And so we make it our mission to create a safe but fun filled environment, where they can investigate new textures, sounds, smells, sights and tastes.
The Tweenies Room at Castle Lane Day Nursery is for children who are between the Toddler Room and our Preschool Room. Aged between 30 months and the term after they turn 3, the tweenies are much more confident in their abilities and consequently, this room is a busy and energetic space!
Our emphasis in this room is to continue building on their skills and confidence levels; to combine fun and more educational activities and to foster a caring environment in which the children are encouraged to share and be kind to each other.And because there are 2 different ages in the room, the ratios of staff to children are 1:4 for for 2 year olds and 1:8 for 3 year olds.

The Pre-School Room at Castle Lane Day Nursery is for children who have left the Tweenies Room and are preparing to go to school in approximately one year's time. Having left the Tweenies Room, our Pre-Schoolers are generally very confident in their movement and gross motor skills so there's lots of energy and enthusiasm to channel in this room!

Absolutely love Castle Lane Day Nursery. My four year old has been going since she was 11 months old and just loved it from day one! The staff really care and get to know every child. The rooms are lovely environments and the teams come up with creative and innovative ways for children to explore their world and develop their skills and emotions.
Forest school was a brilliant addition a year or so ago. I really can’t recommend them enough! My son will be joining the Baby Room when he turns 11 months in April too

My little girl started Castle Lane at about 10 months old, she settled in so well into the baby room. This was all down to the staff being amazing, so caring and helping Skye settle in. Skye loves attending nursery and gives all the staff a wave when she goes into nursery! I’m so happy we chose Castle Lane and would highly recommend Castle Lane to anyone.

I love this nursery as does my son. The staff are friendly and approachable and the management always has time for you. The ideas generated to entertain the kids are so creative and my son loves coming. The outside area is fantastic with so much for kids to do and the security is extremely good with video door entry so you know your child is safe. I can’t think of what more you could ask of a nursery with very reasonable fees too!! Well done Vicki and Harriet and the rest of the team x
