Absolutely disgusting how the receptionist spoke to me .my 5 Yr old daughter is laid on floor crying and shaking with stomach pain and I rang the receptionist for an appointment and she said that she can't fit her in as in her opinion it's not an emergency. Her advice is to fill in an e consultation and someone will get back to me within 2 days ,I explained I've never done this before and that she's in so much pain but she said that in her opinion it's not an emergency even though she's not a doctor and she started shouting at me and getting a little angry with me that I didn't know how to fill

Wish you could put minus stars for a review.
Much the same as everyone else, I've found the Doctors and Nurses brilliant.
However the reception staff are the worst, rudest people I have ever met in a customer service role. Rude isn't a strong enough word to describe them. Abrupt, unhelpful, give wrong information out, not constant with other information. One receptionist will tell you something and the other will tell you completely the opposite.
I've complained on several occasions to the practice manager.........pointless as she is as rude as the receptionists.
Definitely looking into changing

Absolutely diabolical service.
Lie about leaving answer machine messages.
Ignore patient requests.
Have long term medical condition and new doctors ignore this.
Unless you are retired or do not work or even have a nice 9-5 job, you have to ring on the day for an appointment, it’s constantly engaged and can take hours to get through. No appointments left. Try tomorrow.
No wonder A and E is in a mess.
It would be beneficial if this surgery considered those that do actually work and pay their taxes, and be available for those when they are ill.
This appointment system is dreadful.

Have been with the practice many years but today I phoned to get an appointment due to a mental health crisis.
I'm not up and about at 8am to phone, due to my health, and it's not possible for me to get someone else to phone for me, they are all at work or commuting at this time.
Some flexibility in the system would a be a huge help.

Unlike a lot of other surgeries, Abbey Grange allows you to book appointments more than 48 hours in advance which is helpful. They also have another site in West Park should an appointment not be available at this practice. Staff always professional and helpful. Exactly what I expect from a GP surgery. Excellent work.
