We are a friendly, student focused practice. Our aim is to deliver the highest standard of care to our patients. Originally, the Practice was part of the University of Leeds. Although this is no longer the case, we still have strong links with the University and other educational establishments in the City.
Our Medical Practice is 'purpose built' and includes a 3-bed day resting facility for students. This may be for patients waiting to be admitted to hospital, or a patient who needs short term care. The Practice has many years' experience in student health. We understand the ups and the downs of student life for both UK and international patients.

Question 1 - Are you a student (or partner or child of a student) at one of the following? If you can answer yes to both questions, you can now select your method of registration with Leeds Student Medical Practice from the numbered options below. Due to the high numbers of registrations that we receive during the annual registration period in September, your registration submission may take longer to process.
Please could we kindly ask you to avoid calling the practice for information about the vaccine as we cannot provide any further details or book anyone in for an appointment to receive a vaccine. We are experiencing high call volumes currently, calling for the vaccine may stop someone who needs urgent medical help getting through to us.
Leeds Student Medical Practice and The Light Primary Care Network are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and forward thinking Senior Clinical Pharmacist. We have a permanent vacancy for a Senior Clinical Pharmacist to join our large, supportive, busy and friendly team. We want the most resilient people to join us- no two days will be the same.
We are constantly striving to improve our services and involve patients in the development of our future plans. We welcome feedback on the services we provide, we want to know what's working well and which aspects we need to improve. Our Patient Reference Group is one way we seek the views of our patients.
GP Registrars are experienced doctors who have decided on a career in General Practice. Before they come to the practice they have worked for several years as hospital doctors and are learning to adapt their medical skills and knowledge to the General Practice environment. Being a Training Practice is a mark of quality and practices have to go through a rigorous selection process before they can receive GP Registrars.

On the 13th of December, I went to LSMP, and I had to talk to a lovely lady in the reception, and she took me through how to book an appointment. The next day I tried, and something went wrong, and I called them. I’m not sure if it was the same person, but on the phone, she was so kind and friendly and asked what symptoms I had. In an hour, I got a call, and she said, you will meet the doctor today at 2:30 pm. At the appointment time, Doctor Robert, if I’m not mistaken, he was so friendly and kind. Did an examination and asked me to come again in two weeks if the same issue has not gone. To

5 star doctors & nurses
0 star online consult system & accessibility
1 star receptionists
The care I’ve received once I’ve accessed doctors and nurses has been fantastic.
It’s difficult, sometimes near impossible to navigate the eConsult system and receptionists.
The access timing of the eConsult form is ridiculous and it’s structured poorly for people with SpLDs or autism.
Receptionists tend to assume you’re trying to bypass the system rather than having a legitimate difficulty navigating it and can be rude or unhelpful. BUT that said if you can make it clear that you genuinely

For the love of all that is holy, please change the phone hold settings the person does NOT need to thank me for waiting and inform me about online ordering a prescription literally every 30 SECONDS. The person reading it out even fumble a line, why didnt this just get re-recorded, I have heard this person fumble the word "nominate" 40 times already.

Absolutely fantastic service from start to finish. Had a long term issue that had been under review from another practice but wasn't resolved. Transferred down to Leeds when I started studying and they sorted it within about 6 weeks, referring me twice to private clinics in order to speed the process up. Can't thank you all enough!

Go somewhere else. Spent a year trying to sort out problems ordering my repeat prescription online with very little success. I have just been on hold to the urgent prescriptions line and was unable to get through (Common problem) so I don't know what I am going to do. Reception staff can be condescending. They gave me no anaesthetic when I got an IUD and tried hard to persuade me to get one that I didn't want (I don't know if this is standard practice or not). I went for a blood test there (I have never had a problem with a blood test before despite having many). The nurse had to try multiple times
