The Mews Hotel accommodation and restaurant is located in Ossett, between Wakefield and Dewsbury near Leeds in West Yorkshire, UK. Ideally situated just off the M1 motorway at junction 40, set in a charming mews courtyard the hotel has an intriguing past dating back to 1746.
The courtyard wing of the hotel was originally a warehouse used for sorting rags, a very skilled local trade and now houses the fourteen tastefully furnished bedrooms which offer all the facilities expected by the guest today.A very cosy free house bar serves traditional hand pulled ales and excellent bar meals in a welcoming and cosy retreat to wind down after a hard days work.

Set in the courtyard wing, each room features a flat-screen TV, DVD player and free tea and coffee. All rooms have a private bathroom with a hairdryer and toiletries, and an iron is also provided for your convenience. The rooms range from our Superior Doubles to cosy single rooms, please have a look for your preference and check your dates to stay.
We can cater for up to 20 covers whatever the occasion with our small but versatile function room, fantastic location and delicious food. As we know all occassions and individuals are different, we adopt a flexible approach to our catering solutions; rather than offering a set choice of options to choose from, we will take time to understand what your personal requirements are, what budget you have and we can work to it accordingly.

I travel lots for work and have to say this is one of the best hotels I've stayed in.
The rooms are immaculate and well equipped (I has an espresso machine in mine)
The beds are very comfortable and I managed to sleep nearly 12 hours which is unheard of.
My evening meal was also very high quality and a good portion size.
Overall a fantastic hotel and I will definitely return when I work in the area.
(I've even gave details to all my colleauges)
I've stayed in many 4 star hotels and in comparison I much prefer the Mews and I can't wait to return thank you gents.

The pub at the Mews Hotel is quaint and lovely. The food offered to us for a wedding reception held in a private room was very delicious and varied for all tastes. The presentation of the food was excellent and very appetising. The facilities for the reception were nice and cozy but also had patio doors to the rear to allow our reception to spill out into a private enclosed garden with picnic tables and a covered section in case of rain. The car park for The Mews Hotel was ample and the location ideal.

We had our Wedding reception here, they provided an amazing buffet with a good selection of tasty food and the side room with outdoor area was perfect for our small function. We also stayed for a meal the night before and the food was brilliant especially the sticky toffee pudding.The staff were friendly and nothing was too much for them. The Mews went above and beyond to help our special day be perfect. The room was lovely, comfortable bed and a decent sized TV in the Supreme room. We've found a special little place for us to visit again in the future.
