The hotel is nice enough and the staff were friendly but they seemed overwhelmed by the number of guests, due to a wedding taking place at the same time as our stay. It took 20 minutes from arriving at reception to be seen and checked in. It was not as slick an operation as we were expecting for the price. The restaurant was nice - the evening meal and service were good. The breakfast food was satisfactory. However the little touches for our stay (due to a special occasion) which had been ordered and requested in advance were all missed. The spa treatments and therapists were nice but the staff

I need a 3.5 option! Not as bad as a 3 but not quite a 4....
Always a lovely experience, staff were friendly and handling procedures well. Restaurant staff were great, food was ok, several options weren't available and could have been better. Was also a shame the pool and spa facilities weren't open until 10am when checkout is by 11am. Room for improvement.

My wife and I had booked afternoon tea as a birthday present the cost for the both of us was £50
We were offered no choice in which tea or coffee we wanted
The finger sandwiches were small and few the cakes were small also the scones were warm and very crumbly probably microwaved
I feel very poor value for money despite lovely surroundings

Excellent food, very attentive and polite staff. The rooms and beds are very comfy and there is access to pool gym and sauna, although I didn't use them. The only issue is that there are 3 floors but the lift only goes up to floor 2,so if you have any access issues make sure you mention this when you book otherwise you could have along walk to your room and stairs you may not have thought about.

My friends and I came here for a spa break which cost £120 for one night's bed and breakfast, light lunch, three course dinner, a 60 minute treatment, and use of the facilities. Overall I thought it was well worth the money.
The hotel itself is very grand and the grounds are beautiful. Staff were very friendly at check in and after dumping our bags in the rooms we headed for our lunch. Lunch was served in The Claret Jug which is separate to the main hotel but just a minute's walk away. I opted for soup of the day (courgette, lime and thyme) and a salmon caesar salad. I wouldn&apos

A lovely hotel, beautiful setting and very helpful staff. We booked online and were looking forward to our "Romantic Break" however staff at the hotel seemed unaware of the offer. Once we explained what it was they acted promptly to put everything in place. We certainly couldn't fault their care or capacity to do their best to meet guests requirements. It would appear that there is a lack of communication between QHotels and the individual hotels.
The room was quiet, very comfortable and clean. I did find it very dark though and despite using all the lamps provided would have

We stayed here recently over a weekend and thoroughly enjoyed the occasion. The hotel is set in its own, spacious, grounds, with the approach to the hall being very impressive and grand. A golf club is discreetly tucked away to the side and out of obvious view from the hall.
Our evening meal was of a high standard and the portion sizes were good. We did not leave the table hungry. The accompanying house wines were of good quality and the price was exceptionally good value.
As for our room, it was of a good size, with a very comfortable double bed. It was well appointed although, horror of horror

It would be wrong of this review to give the only five star hotel in Leeds anything less than five stars - but it definitely earns them.
This place really is just classy. Set in a refurbished manor house from the eighteenth century, it is now a popular place for weekend breaks due to it's tranquil location, stunning surroundings and private golf course.
It is also a favourite venue for conferences and weddings, amongst other special occasions. I recently went to a relative's wedding reception here and I was stunned by just how luxurious and elegant everything about Oulton Hall is.
