We are a friendly Preschool in the heart of Clarendon Park opposite St. John the Baptist Primary School in Leicester. We offer sessional day care for children aged 2 to 4 during term time, Mondays to Fridays. We accept 2 and 3+-year-old children who are in receipt of Free Early Educational Entitlement (FEEE).
Our aims are to enhance the development and education of all children in our care by providing a stimulating and nurturing learning environment, working in partnership with families and the local community. We have daily access to the grounds of St John the Baptist Primary School (opposite Preschool) so the children can enjoy fresh air and outdoor play.

Services
Little John's Preschool a not-for-profit educational charity overseen by a Committee (Board of Trustees) made up of parents, staff, and volunteers. Parents/carers of children attending Little John's automatically become Members of the Preschool. Our Annual General Meeting is open to all Members. If you are interested in volunteering for the Committee or would like more information, please get in touch.
For the safety and wellbeing of all our children we ask that parents respect our Nut Free policy and do not bring any nuts into the preschool. The latest School Term and Holiday Dates are available from the Leicester City Council Website. We are in receipt of Free Early Educational Entitlement (FEEE) funding for 2, 3 and 4 year olds; but where funding is not received, normal fees will apply.
At Little John's, we offer a free choice group where children decide their own activities, and are encouraged to do so for themselves, while being supported by the staff. However, we enjoy coming together as a group for snacks and lunch, games, circle time, singing and story time and outside play. We play outside regardless of the weather so children need to come to preschool with suitable outdoor clothing.
