Services
We pride ourselves on good old fashioned butchery and craft skills, producing most of what we sell from scratch apart from condiments and cheese. The philosophy is simple, animals in one end, pies, sausages and oven ready items out the other! Early in the season, normally June to November, our lamb is sourced from the Welsh Saltmarshes.
Place a layer of steak on top of the onions and lightly season with salt and pepper (thinly sliced Orkney rump steak- approx 1lb per 3-4 people). Place a layer of scalloped potatoes over the steak followed with a layer of sliced onions. Repeat these layers several times ending up with the last layer being potatoes.
The Bristol Shop is run by a small dedicated team. We have recruited local young people of graduate calibre and trained them up in working front of house. Manufactured products such as sausages and pies are produced in our sister shop in Newport. A critical part of our business is the staff, responsible for giving expert knowledge on cuts, cooking advice and preparation of the meat you require.
