Originally a Victorian home and still holding some of those period features it is set in its own grounds just off the A96. This makes us the perfect base to explore everything which Nairn and its surrounding area has to offer. Nairn, once known as 'The Brighton of the North' and renowned for its beautiful beaches boasts two championship golf courses within the town, Nairn Dunbar Golf Club and The Nairn Golf Club.

At The Westerlea we offer five en-suite bedrooms, with a full Highland breakfast, ideal for small golfing parties or a place to recharge you batteries while touring this beautiful part of the country. Sit back and relax in our fully licensed bar where we serve locally sourced home cooked food at reasonable prices.
Services
May I take this opportunity to welcome you to the Westerlea and introduce you to myself and my team. Raised and eductated in Nairn I started off in the hospitality industry in 1992 at the tender age of 14! From the ages of 14-19 I served my training in two of Nairn's top hotels, The Newton and the Golf View, it was at this point when I came to work at the Westerlea under Stan & Karen Brown.
At the Westerlea Hotel in Nairn we offer five en-suite rooms, with a full Highland breakfast, ideal for small golfing parties or a place to recharge your batteries while touring this beautiful part of the country. Please check your dates to see what we have available. We never like it when our guests leave us but we have to prepare your room for the following guests' arrival.
Our chef Ritchard sources his ingredients as locally as possible, all our meat is supplied by our friends at Bruce Clark Butchers in Leopold St and just opposite Bruce's shop is Swansons where we get all our fruit & veg. Sadly, it has been many years since Nairn was a fishing port but we get our fish fresh from the North Sea, supplied by R Mairs of Buckie, just along the coast.
At The Westerlea, unlike most hotels we don't believe in having a 'start' time for breakfast. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, so if you have to be up early to catch that flight, be on the go early for work or be lucky enough to have an early tee booked for golf, whatever your reason, we will make sure you don't leave hungry.
From Inverness Airport follow the signs for A96 towards Aberdeen/Nairn for seven miles until you see the 'Welcome to Nairn' sign, continue into Nairn and after the petrol station you will see The Westerlea Hotel on the right. From the North/South: take the A9 to Inverness.

Then follow the A96 towards Aberdeen/Nairn for 14 miles until you see the 'Welcome to Nairn' sign, continue into Nairn and 200 metres after the petrol station you will see The Westerlea Hotel set back from the road on the right.Follow the A96 to Nairn, driving through the Town Centre heading towards Inverness keeping on the A96.

Pub was busy with Nairn's youth, it was a Saturday, the 80's dj was fun, drinks were cheaper than the other pubs.
