Our historic hotel dates all the way back all to the 18th century. With a vivid and colourful past, The Kingmills has always been known for its warm open doors and hospitality. Playing host to philanthropists, soldiers seeking refuge and even the great Rabbie Burns himself. Taking a peek back to the latter half of the 18th century, our building was home to William Inglis, Provost of Inverness and his family.
The Inglis family consequently played a large part in the growth and development of the town itself. Resulting in several monuments and dedications which can be found around Inverness. Then in 1946, the MacLeod family converted the building into a small independent hotel. And the rest, as they say, is history.

One if not the friendliest hotels we have ever stayed in. The staff cannot do enough for you and make you feel so welcome. Everyone is Super dog friendly. We brought our family dog Nevis with us and we’re lucky to get a garden room that leads out into the courtyard that was perfect for us. We’ve had a wonderful relaxing stay. The rooms the food and the staff are 10 outa 10. Thank you for a fantastic couple of nights.

We were only here for the festive lunch but have visited here frequently and this hotel always oozes quality and service of a high standard on every visit.
The food was of an excellent quality. Service was prompt and cheery. The Conservatory restaurant is a lovely setting with well spaced tables and many measures taken for Covid.
Amazing value for the quality of the hotel. Highly recommended and a return visit will be soon.

We booked 2 rooms. Our friends were allowed to check in at 2.30pm even though check-in was at 4pm. We arrived at 3.30pm. Room not ready. So we went into town. The que for check at 4pm was ridiculous long. Saw Receptionist asking couple if they wanted free refreshments as there room still wasn't ready at 6.30pm! Returned from town and staff were still cleaning rooms. Eventually checked in at 9.30pm.Poor management not to have 2 rooms booked together not ready together! The breakfast was poor quality. No free range eggs, just pale battery eggs. Poor quality cheap sausages. Food generally tasteless

My husband and I recently spent a few nights in the garden suites at Kingsmills hotel in Inverness and it was lovely! The garden rooms are simple but modern and stylish, gorgeous rain shower bathrooms and lovely king sized bed. The rooms have a great view of the gardens and all the amenities we needed for our stay.
The food was exquisite and we couldn't fault a thing! Highly recommend this hotel for a relaxing and pampering stay.

Nice hotel we had at the start of the trip. Rooms were very nice, bathroom was huge with both a shower and separate bathtub. We had dinner and breakfast there and both were very good. The bar has quite a variety of local beers and Scotch/Whisky's from around Scotland so I got to try a couple I hadn't had before. The grounds were nice, there wasn't much noise from the neighborhood, a nice place to relax.

A real find in the Highlands of Scotland! Stylish and clean, with a lively lobby lounge and smart traditional decor. The spotless modern guest rooms have modern appointments and including up to date plumbing (our room had both a deep tub and a spacious "rain" shower) and plenty of hot water. There's a great breakfast buffet and 24 hour room service. Their banquet rooms seem to host many celebrations so you're likely to hear bagpipe music. A great respite for weary travelers after a day enjoying the beauty of the Highlands!

5 stars really aren't enough. The hotel itself is gorgeous and classically appointed, the grounds are a peaceful respite from the busier town center, the staff, ALL of them, went above and beyond in regard to service, the lounge and restaurants were fantastic and our (quiet) room was the perfect size with a great view of the gardens. The bathroom had a wonderful, deep bathtub and separate shower with wonderfully hot water that did not run out! The pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi tub were really clean and also had a great view. Definitely sign up for the breakfast at check in, as you save

I am torn as to how to rate this hotel. When it really comes down to it, I should've perhaps done a little bit more research and found a location closer to Inverness' downtown, thereby a) saving a little bit of money b) be a bit more closer to where the town's true activity lies.
The Kingsmill sits about a kilometer from town centre, up a rather steep hill and then a couple of blocks. I do believe the intent of a stay here is that you are to STAY HERE. It has enough to keep the visitor who doesn't want to go out to not need to. It has a golf course, workout facilities, full

I stayed here recently on a weeknight, and had a very nice stay. My room was updated, clean, and spacious. It had a deep bathtub and separate shower. It was also quiet. The staff was friendly and professional. There was s plenty of parking in a lot just outside the hotel.
The location is not walking distance to any other restaurants or places you would want to go.
The whiskey bar has a large selection of scotch whiskeys, and the bartender was knowledgeable of the selection.
Breakfast was included, and it was a generous selection of cereals, fruit, juices and yogurts, and hot items such

This is a hotel somewhat outside of town and right on the golf course. It seems to cater to families. We stayed in the smaller, newer section that was less of a family hotel. The room is nice and large with a seating area. There was a balcony with chairs facing the golf course, which is nice.
The problem we had with this hotel is that being outside of town, there is no where to have dinner except the hotel dining rooms and the food was very disappointing. "Sirloin" steak was a thin, tough piece of meat and sea bass was tasteless.

Great Hotel. Caters for all your needs. Just one bit of knitpicking, the hotel doesn't know it's own address. According to the Royal Mail, the authority in these things, it is situated on the Damfield Road Inverness, IV23LP. Not the Culcabock road which is IV23XQ and IV23XW. In essence it gives the right Postcode but the wrong road. But when you find it you'll have a great stay.

We recently stayed at the Kingsmills, and very much were glad we did. There is really nothing I can say bad about our stay; everything was great.
The hotel is in a good location for visiting Inverness, as the city center is only a 1 mile walk. The hotel and grounds are all very beautiful. The rooms are also very nice - NOTE we stayed in the newly opened luxury rooms, so I can not comment on the older rooms. Bed was very comfortable. The breakfast buffet was quite good, although the selection was a little bit limited. We did not have any other meals at the hotel, so can not comment on their

I stayed here for 5 days (May 5th-10) and it was a wonderful stay. The weather was surprisingly nice so we were able to walk to town where there were plenty of restaurants and shopping. One day I also walked to a Tescos to stock up on waters etc.
We were in a room across from the new structure they were building and there was a lot of hammering and such going on but not till around 10am. Its to be expected I guess since they are trying to expand.
The room itself was very nice. Clean and spacious. Had afternoon tea in the dining room and it was wonderful.

I really liked this hotel. We were in the older part of the hotel, but the room was still very nice. The staff was really friendly and helpful. The food at the hotel was great. Authentic, well prepared and original.
It is well located with only a 10 minute walk to downtown.
They have a paid internet, but the use time is not consecutive. You can buy a 24 hour data pass and have it last you the entire week.
The conference rooms were well prepared and stocked with coffee and tea at regular intervals. Its a great place to hold a meeting.

The hotel, room and grounds were very pretty and well maintained. The dinner menu in the open dining area was very pricey, 30 USD for a bland steak, chips served in a mini fryer (at a nice restaurant a steak should NEVER come with chips), onion rings and a salad that tasted like it was tossed in perfume.... Not good at all. Our room had a dead bug in the bathroom (gross), and the "king size" bed was 2 twins that were pushed together, and started to slide apart if you got too close to the crack. Staff were very friendly and the breakfast was very nice, maybe it was just a fluke that we

I stayed here recently for an 80th birthday celebration and it was the perfect venue for such an event. The staff are warm and welcoming and ready to please and the rooms are large and comfortable. The bar area is large and attractive and the breakfast in the mornings is plentiful. The birthday celebration itself was in the large Burns room which was well laid out and the food served was very good. If I were to visit the area again I would want to stay here purely for comfort and I would definitely recommend.

If you want the 5 Star Experience in Inverness, UK while you're touring the Lochness Lake/ Highlands there's only one place to stay which is Kingsmills Hotel. The Hotel has a majestic castle feel from the minute you approach the front doors. You almost wonder if you need knighthood or if only nobles are welcomed as you go through the lobby and see Scottish History everywhere. On the way up to the room I would take the stairs as the lifts seemed a little to renaissance for me but that's what made the experience so wicked. Upon arriving to my room was just posh. It felt like

Had our Right Direction, visionary meeting at the Kingsmill - we couldn't have asked for a better venue. The service & staff were naturally helpful & friendly - just what we needed. Despite the refurbishment going on, all was seamless - even the evening meal & breakfast adjacent to the building area.

This is a lovely hotel with a homely feel in the Culcabock area of Inverness. It is relatively close to amenities and the town centre is only a couple of minutes away by car or is in walking distance if you fancy a walk. The hotel has a lovely feel to it and the staff are all brilliant and will help in any way that they can. The rooms are furnished to a high standard and there are different types of rooms to choose from, including standard, family, garden and executive rooms. The garden rooms face out onto the small golf course which is at the back of the hotel. They are lovely peaceful rooms with
