Location - amazing, very central. We walked to everything in city centre and the views of the river and Inverness castle are beautiful! There is also free hotel parking with 22 spaces, and on street parking between 5pm and 10 am.
Spa - the spa facilities are great. We stayed there two nights and used them on both nights. It included heated pool, jacuzzi, steamed room and sauna. Make sure to book in advance (we booked one day in advance to be safe). Each booking lasts 45 minutes.
Rooms - we had a double room with no view of the river. The room was spacious and very clean. One negative however

Although an old hotel, the room was modern clean and given the fact that I stayed in December was lovely and warm. Food was OK and staff lovely. Only criticism is the en suite. It was a bath with a fixed head shower and given the age group of visitors including myself climing in a bath rather than a more accessible shower cubicle was not good. Apart from that I would recommend this hotel.

I stayed at the Palace Hotel in Inverness for 2 nights. This is my experience.
The parking is free; I arrived early (11am) on the day of check in, and got a space. People who arrived later than 3pm were out of luck, although the leisure center does allow people to double park. Just go into the leisure center and ask for the car to be moved so you can leave, and they are happy to take care of it.
The reception was wonderful each time I interacted with them. Lots of trainees, but they are being trained well. The lobby area is cosy with a great fireplace and wonderful views of the river.

A most conveniently situated hotel on the banks of the River Ness within easy walking of town centre. The view of the River and across to the Castle are excellent.
Our room, overlooking the river, was clean and comfortable with TV and tea/coffee making facilities. There was a lift and all corridors stairways etc had been recently carpeted. Buffet breakfast was very good. Staff were helpful. Bar service excellent.

Excellent stay on the Ness Walk. Nice clean rooms. All you've come to expect of the Best Western Hotels and more. Particularly noteworthy, though, was the one lady at breakfast - Marlene. What a beacon of light and joy she was every single day she was on shift. For me, that was the best part of my stay - her warm and excellent service.
Recommendations for Demi too. She was very helpful sorting out all our accounts as our group checked out.
Will def return.

Lounge, bistro, restaurant and spa area were very good and welcoming. Staff on the whole were helpful and friendly. We had treatments in the spa which were excellent and would fully recommend. However, we were disappointed in the rooms we were allocated in the annex, they were quite small and felt cramped. Considering the price we paid I thought the rooms would have been better.
