A small, family-owned and run hotel centrally situated at the north end of Church Street in the Old Town of Inverness. We have been offering our guests comfortable and affordable, central accommodation since 1959. Our quiet, family-run, Highland style makes us attractive to those looking for a more traditional, personal atmosphere rather than the perhaps more anonymous settings often found in larger city centre hotels.
Shops, restaurants, tour departure points and Tourist Information Centre are all within easy walking distance of us, as is Inverness Castle and the River Ness. We are also within walking distance of Eden Court Theatre, as well as a good selection of highly-recommended and reasonably-priced restaurants.

My stay was back in August but, here at last is a well deserved review!
I was received with care and courtesy; felt warmly welcomed and that every attention was given to make my stay comfortable. All the facilities were spotless and the hotel could not be better situated for exploring Inverness.
Tips for other visitors -
Check out the bus station, many pleasant outings are possible without needing to use a car.
The Inverness Botanic Gardens are a delight; free to enter (but please donate after your visit to help the maintenance of this wonderful space!).
Be sure to walk along the Ness Bank

I sensed the hotel would be special as soon as I received an email from the proprietor, offering advance information about the hotel and its location. This first impression was surpassed on arrival with a warm welcome from the proprietor. As tourists, the hotel was perfect but some guests may find the absence of a restaurant, serving lunch and dinner, or a bar, to be limiting. For the regular tourist or guest, the full Scottish breakfast served between 0800 and 0915 will be appreciated. The hotel’s location about ten minutes walk from the train and bus stations will be a bonus as were the many

Better food at breakfast than the local Best Western. Excellent tv reception. Again much better than the Best Western. More centrally located than the Best Western.
Saved a full 75 Pounds Sterling
Per night per person as opposed to the Best Western.
10 - 15 Pounds of that was for the breakfast which was included in the 40 Pounds Sterling for the cost of the room.
The room was a little smaller and there is no elevator.
Family owned, staff is great.

We stayed in this small, family-run hotel for six days while we explored the Highlands. We arrived by train, and took several excursions that began at the bus station—both within easy walking distance of the hotel. It is located very close to the river and to a variety of venues and is very pleasant. The owners assisted us in a number of ways (tour schedules with odd timing, nearby laundry services, and the like). Our room (with two single beds) was relatively small, but comfortable and very efficiently arranged. The supplied breakfasts were quite satisfying (eggs to order, breakfast meats, cold
