The Abbey Hotel is a Grade II listed 8 bedroom bespoke, boutique Hotel, our Georgian bedrooms are located on the second floor with many overlooking the abbey and historic town of Battle.

We arrived around 6pm on Monday 3rd Jan to find that food had finished being served at 5pm (It was a bank holiday). On hearing us ask about food. the chef, who was at the bar and about to go home very kindly offered to stay on and get us a meal. It was wonderful, venison pie and vegetables,
a lovely meal and we were so grateful to him. We didn't see him to thank him but if he's reading this, THANKYOU SO MUCH 😁

Amazing service, fantastic cleanliness and great food at this dog-friendly hotel. Visited Battle with the dog and was impressed with the really clean rooms, friendly bar team and fantastic menu of breakfast, lunch and dinner. Really friendly vibe from the entire team and great welcome from the manager Molly. Will be staying here again.

We stayed for two nights for a family wedding at the excellent Pilgrims Rest venue in Battle. The rooms (8) were clean and comfortable, not quite 5* in themselves but in combination with the genuinely friendly, personal attention and efficiency from Charley and the team lifted this to 5* for us. Excellent breakfasts and our evening meals were very good too.

As soon as we arrived we were greeted with a warm welcome from the land lady, who showed us to our lovely room. The pub had a great atmosphere. The dinner was delicious and so was the breakfast in the morning. The waitress was lovely as were the rest of the staff. Highly recommended. We will definitely come back

We thought we'd pop in on a busy Sunday without booking a table. They sat us even though they were super busy and managed our expectations on when the next table was due. The service was super quick and so friendly. The food was amazing too! Would definitely recommend for a cozy Sunday afternoon roast, as long as you book 😉
