This is the worst hotel I've stayed in. Rooms are filthy, shower is a disgrace, mould in the bathroom, rusty fittings, missing toilet roll holder, quilt was about 0.001 tog. We booked for 2 nights but left after the first night to find other accommodation. Don't stay here, you'd be better in any b&b or Travelodge

Very dated , the room was extremely small .I only stayed a night and the bed and bathroom were clean and as it was only 1 night it was OK but I certainly wouldn't recommend it to anyone for longer than that it'll do to crash that's it.The front desk wasn't manned and no toothpaste at reception at all(all hotels I've stayed in usually have a small tube and plastic toothbrush if guests require them). The carpet and decor weren't particularly nice I think the carpet must have been down yonks as some of the colour was worn away.
Like I say ok if you just want a bed for the night

Friendly welcome by front of house staff. In our room within 5 minutes. Very outdated room with orange and blue walls but clean. Lack of plug socks! 1 socket to swap between kettle and TV plug. 1 plug for room heater (unplugged and used this socket) socket next to it wouldn't charge phones or heat straighteners so couldn't use.
Two bedside lamps directly above bed, where you lay your head, very annoying.
Good location to visit old and new town.

Dated rather than dilapidated, this two star hotel is a good for locality to the beach and town centre but feels like a seventies snap back. Indian restaurant on site and other establishments nearby. Parking is £8 a day in the council car park.
Hair in the plug hole. Yuk. Big burns on the mattress. Eew. Generally unloved hotel.
Best avoided but didn’t die.

Cosy hotel, with simple yet well-furnished and comfortable rooms.
We didn't have a sea view room, but that didn't really matter to be honest. One of the largest TV screens I've seen in a hotel, too, which was quite impressive.
We didn't wake up early enough to enjoy breakfast at the nearby restaurant, though, but it looked quite nice.
The only down point concerns the elevator, which has crushed buttons, although it seems to work safely still ;)
