For many hundreds of years, The Thornhill has fed and watered weary travellers moving between Bradford & Leeds. Staying true to our long history we have created a menu that focuses on providing guests with authentic, deeply satisfying meals that go perfectly with a pint of real ale (or two!). Experience tasty well-presented food using the freshest and finest seasonal produce from around the region.

Meat and game from Bramhope, fresh fish from the East coast, with vegetables and produce sourced from local farms and markets. Everything is baked, cooked and produced in our own kitchens to offer you an exciting choice of classical and contemporary dishes. No wonder so many food lovers return to dine with us again and again.
Services
Please note some of our dining tables are high tables, should this be a problem please add to the comments section when booking. Bookings of 2-5 people are given a 2 hour slot and bookings of 6 people or more are given 2 and half hours. We'll let you know on the day if you can stay any longer on your table or if we can move you over to a different table.

Excellent "pub grub" and a varied menu. The tables were very well spaced out for Covid measures. All the staff were very friendly........but a little rushed.
The setting was both warm and comfortable and able to cope with large groups. Looking forward to returning.

Very pleasant lunch with our daughter on route home. Lovely staff who quickly rectified the bill when the till decided not to apply the special offer. 👍

Had Sunday lunch, food tasted nice but rather disappointed on the amount you get, 1 roast carrot, 1 parsnip, 1 roast potato and no cheesecake on the menu as advertised. Expensive for what you get. Won't be booking Sunday dinner there anytime soon.

Extremely accommodating.
We arrived last minute without a booking on a Sunday.
They managed to squeeze us in and even did a children's portion of Bangers and Mash that wasn't on the menu.
The 3 Meat Roast, was beautiful too, we'll definitely be back.

I ate there last night food was excellent its good to eat in a place where they don't pile food but concentrate on putting a well balanced flavoursome dishes.
And i had some room for pudding so i had the sticky toffee pudding which was delightful.
Its really fairly price too .
Will come back very soon
The tapas bar are excellent too
