The Winterburn is an award-winning pub in Halifax, boasting one of the best panoramic views in West Yorkshire. Positioned on a hillside looking down over the Ryburn and Calder Valley's, it's the perfect spot to sample a plate of delicious home cooked food or one of Thwaites seasonal cask ales. After just one year at The Winterburn Lucy, Oscar and the team managed to scoop the award for Best Newcomer at the Thwaites Awards For Excellence.
More success followed in 2018 when the team secured the award for Best Pub Food at the Thwaites Hospitality Awards. The Winterburn's Pub Classics main menu offers a selection of British pub staples as well as a variety of dishes from around the world, including Asian, Italian and Tex Mex favourites.

Thank you for great surprise due to my birthday ice cream and served with a candle.
The portion of Fish and Chips were rather small for a Yorkshire establishment. Also the Salmon was tiny for £14 and sat on a bed of rice and peas. Although the staff were great and food hot.
We did enjoy visiting your establishment but a little disappointed.
Thank you Linda Bialous

Was rather looking forward to the food here but I feel rather let down. The place is lovely the staff are fantastic but I don’t think I will return to eat. We had the Sunday roast and it was very average at best and not very generous with the portions. A shame really as I was hoping for so much more and I was that disappointed I didn’t order the desert I wanted.
I will return for a drink as it’s a nice place with helpful and good staff.

Wonderful pub! Discovered on our way to a weekend stay in Halifax - and will certainly be back again!
Staff were super friendly and the food was amazing. We had our dog with us, and we were able to sit inside, on the bar side with him (he even got biscuits on a plate!)
Had the weather been sunnier - I’m sure we would have loved sitting outside with the impressive view.
Fabulous pub, staff and food, a brilliant find for us, and we do intend to visit again when we are next in the area.
