We are Naomi and Beth, owners and managers of the Wood St Nursery. Together we have over 35 years of experience in Early Years Care and Education and are passionate about what we do. We are focusing our extensive knowledge and experience on developing a delightful, high quality nursery where children are nurtured and flourish.
Naomi is an Early Years Teacher. She has an MSc in Psychology and a BA Hons in Ceramic Design. Previously she has been part of the senior leadership team of an outstanding nursery, The Bath House in Hackney. She specialises in children's emotional well-being, and supporting children to learn through creative free play.

Services
We offer a settling-in process based on your child's needs and your circumstances. We provide 6 two-hour sessions for free to help your child settle into nursery before you begin paying for your place. To meet the needs of your child you will also need to do a week's worth of short days for them to transition to nursery life, before they can be left for their full sessions.
Wood St Nursery is a warm and loving place. We believe in being children's advocates and allies on their journey to growing strong, communicating effectively, and becoming capable and resilient. We believe that nurturing children means building good relationships with their families and creating a strong happy staff team.
Fees at Wood St Nursery are payable monthly in advance. Monthly fees are annualised, which means the weekly fees are multiplied by 48 weeks per year and divided by 12 months per year to calculate your monthly charge/invoice amount. Therefore you will pay the same each month, regardles of how many days childcare you receive in any one given month.
We work towards all staff having at least NVQ Level 3, in addition to statutory requirements such as Safeguarding and Paediatric First. Each day there will also be snacks available in the morning and afternoon consisting of a variety of fresh fruit and vegetables depending on what looks fresh and tasty when we go shopping; a range of rice cakes/breadsticks/oatcakes/naan bread etc. Water is available to drink at all times and offered with snacks.
