Every time I've played this course it has always been in excellent condition. A challenging course with a tough opening 9 holes. Probably my favourite course in the Derby area. Staff are courteous and the 19th is Great too.

This is a review for the steak pie. 5/5 would eat again.
No idea about the golf sorry, played a gig here and the hospitality was great. The grass appeared to be real and short, so I can only assume it's excellent.

Extremely challenging course up one side of a hill and down the other. Keep right, right, right. Then keep left, left, left. Had to keep strict time constraints. Why they are so time oriented l do not know Takes some of the enjoyment out of the game. The views at the top of the course were spectacular. Glad we had a buggy.

A challenging course, quite “hilly” with undulating fairways and tricky greens. Some of the views when at the top of the course are stunning. Friendly clubhouse, serving real ales and good meals.

Would have have given this excellent course 5 stars as it was superb greens, fairways all fantastic but pace of play was the worst I've ever experienced!
There was an older couple holding up a full afternoon of golf bookings in fact some groups gave up. I was told it was 2 senior club officials that ruined what was a good day. Held up from hole 1 making the round at least an hour longer than it should have been. The couple never let anyone through which was very bad etiquette and I would have reported this at the end if the Pro Shop hadn't been closed when we eventually finished
Would love to

Probably the premier golf course in Derbyshire. The condition is stunning right now and the tees fairway and especially the greens are like a manicured carpet. What makes it extra special are the views. Stunning club house and friendly members

A gem of a club. The course is interesting, fairways like lawns. Very well maintained. Greens fast and very few of them flat. Course itself very hilly Beautiful clubhouse and staff and members very friendly. Enjoyed the experience

Lovely course. Not for the faint hearted as its pretty much all climb for the front 9. Large well manicured greens with a lot of subtle breaks. A good test.

We play a lot of open competitions a year and two of the Lad's had never played Chevin before so I booked us into an open. The day from start to finish was second to none.We were made to feel extremely welcome by all the staff from the club house to the well stocked Pro shop then a starter that was a credit to the club. We had a top notch breakfast then a round on one of the very best courses we have played this year. Fairways were just like walking on carpet complemented by true greens that posed some issues to work out the line in short a top course. I would very strongly recommend this class

Always interesting with stunning views. After a dry spell , hard work by the green keepers and careful management the course is in remarkably good condition for this time of year.
